About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Detached Villa in a delightful convenient location.

Our superb south facing detached villa in lower Calahonda, is just near the Norwegian Church, in a very peaceful area, day and night. Conveniently located on the coast between Fuengirola and Marbella and is just a thirty minutes drive from Malaga Airport. There is a lovely large well maintained large communal pool and garden area, accessed through the garden gate, and is less than 30 metres away . The villa has a large private south facing terraced garden ideal for sunbathing, barbecues and outside dining. The terraced garden is accessed from the lounge patio doors, master bedroom and the kitchen. The property is split level, the lower level being the terrace and large lounge area and the upper level being the contemporary dining area with its own patio doors to the small west facing terrace, and the fully equipped modern kitchen. Access to the property is from the road via the carport is down a flight of outside steps to the front door and terrace area, and we therefore do not think it is suitable for wheel chair users!

A car is not essential, but is recommended, there are regular buses to Fuengirola and Marbella on the main A7 road 10 or 12 minutes walk away every half hour. Numerous restaurants, bars, supermarkets, shops, banks, pharmacy, medical centre, dentist, gym, tennis courts and the golf course are all within 5 or 10 minutes walk of the property.

It takes 15 minutes to walk to the Calahonda Luna beach.

It takes about 20 minutes to walk to Cabapino Marina.

It normally takes about 20 minutes to drive to Marbella.

It normally about 25 minutes to drive to Puerto Banus.

It takes 2 hours to drive to the Sierra Nevada ski resort.

It takes around 2 hours to drive to Seville or Granada.

It takes 90 minutes to drive along the coast to Gibraltar.

It also takes around 90 minutes to drive inland to Ronda and about the same to the Caminito del Rey at El Choro.

Two large modern sofas, one reclining leather chair, a large coffee table, log burning fire, air conditioning, satellite TV (with UK channels).

Bedroom 1 made up as a super king size double with en-suite bathroom, wardrobe, air conditioning, safe and patio doors to the terrace. Radio and CD player

Bedroom 2 - Two large single beds with bedside cabinets, a large wardrobe, mirror and air conditioning.

Bedroom 3- Two large single beds with bed side cabinet, mirror and a chest of drawers and air conditioning.

One en-suite (with bath WC and shower over bath)

One house bathroom with WC and walk in shower.

ENTERTAINMENT

Satellite TV with about 160 channels around 100 of which are English speaking including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4. channel 5, and Sky Sports 1,2,3,4,5 and F1. DVD Player

Large electric sun awning, comfortable rattan furniture (one sofa, two chairs, two luxury tilting sunbeds and a coffee table), There are also 4 more regular sunbeds, a dining table and six chairs, and a BBQ grill. There is a superb large "shared" pool with a beautiful garden area and more sunbeds and parasols ( the pool directly faces the villa), There are outside lights, trees and plants round the perimeter of the terrace, and a small storage room housing the washing machine.

IN HOUSE GYM

In the rear courtyard, and new for the 2018 season is our large, well equipped, private, air conditioned GYM!!.

Equipment includes a cross trainer a rowing machine and a weight bench and weights! There is also a 42" wall mounted TV with UK satellite channels. A stereo CD music system and a DVD player provided as well!

SUITABILITY

The property is not accessible to wheelchairs.

SWIMMING POOL

A beautiful large communal pool and superb gardens and sun loungers are less than 30 metres from the garden gate.

ATTRACTIONS

Far too many to mention including locally, many beautiful blue flag beaches, bars, restaurants, banks, shops, parks, marinas, gym, tennis courts and some of the best golf courses in Spain.

We are a retired professional couple living in West Yorkshire, in the UK. We have previously owned an apartment in Guadalmina (Marbella) for many years and have recently sold it and bought this delightful family holiday villa in 2016. Phill owned his own motor trade business in Yorkshire and Martine was a pharmacist.

We really feel totally at home in Calahonda, having got to know the area so well, and having made many friends here over the years, and we just love the location with so many excellent restaurant, bars and beaches right on our door step. It is also a very safe area with 24 hour security. This superb location is also an excellent base from which to visit other areas of Southern Spain and Portugal with excellent road and rail links.

Lovely villa perfect location

We have just had 10 perfect days staying in this lovely villa, the facilities and location had everything we wanted. We spent lazy afternoons by the pool, which was lovely and clean and the gardens were very pretty. We had barbecues on the Terrace which had all you need for relaxing over a glass or two. The villa is done very tasteful, and the kitchen is better equipped than home !

The location is great for beaches, pretty villages, busy resorts and people watching in little restaurants in old Marbella.

Martine and Phill are very helpful and nothing is to much trouble. We definitely will go back ...

Luxury Villa

We have just returned from our 2 week holiday spent at this beautiful villa, we cannot praise it enough. We are a family of 4 including 2 teenagers and the villa was superb, a home from home with lots of luxuries. Excellent WiFi, aircon, Sat TV, sound bar for playing your music, very comfy beds, coffee machine, wonderful outdoor seating area and fantastic pool which we virtually had to ourselves. Phill and Martine were a pleasure to deal with from the moment we booked until we returned from our holiday. There are great restaurants within a 10 minute walk, Tapavinos and Da Vinci our favourite (would recommend booking Tapavinos). Within a 20 minute drive you can visit Marbella, P.Banus and Mijas village is a must. We would thoroughly recommend this villa and hope to return in the not too distant future.

Lovely villa in a beautiful setting

Lovely property that is so well looked after both inside and outside. All bedrooms were really comfortable with air conditioning, and it is very well equipped for eating both inside and out. We explored the area around Calahonda Malaga and Marbella and it was always a joy to come back to the villa and it's fabulous communal pool. Club de Sol is just around the corner so we enjoyed games of tennis and there are 2 excellent tapas bars within walking distance that we would highly recommend.

Amazing Villa

We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful villa. the villa is equipped with everything you require for your stay, although the pool is shared with other properties there was never anyone in it so it was like having your own personal pool. Calla Honda is very hilly so would not be good for people with walking difficulties, Oue age range was 21-55 we did not hire a car and managed OK. The beach over the blue bridge is nice however If you walk towards the marina the beach there called Cabopino beach is really lovely.

there are also lots of lovely restaurants within walking distance.

Phil and Martine are great and we would definatly hire the villa again

Truly Amazing Villa & Hosts !

We recently stayed at the villa for 12 days. It was simply perfect. The villa is in a great location in a quiet residential area with only a short walk to shops, many great restaurants (try Brogart's and the Jammy Olive,our favorites) and two grocery stores. We knew from the moment we arrived we had chosen something very special. The villa is very well appointed and there was nothing we needed that was not provided. The décor is modern yet comfortable, very welcoming with a hint of luxurious. The pride that Martine & Phill take in the entire property is very apparent. Travelling with 5 people the split level layout of the villa was also perfect, the living area is at the front which allowed early risers to enjoy beautiful sunny mornings on the very spacious and stunning patio overlooking the well maintained gardens and pool without disturbing those that like to sleep late. The kitchen had all amenities and we enjoyed cooking many meals in the comfort of the villa, which was relaxing after long days sightseeing. Martine & Phill were absolutely fantastic hosts. From the moment of our first inquiry they graciously answered all of our questions, provided step by step instructions for the booking and even contacted us once we had arrived to ensure everything was in order. Upon our return home the security deposit was refunded much faster than I had anticipated, which was one more assurance we had selected the right villa. We would highly, highly recommend renting this home and we are sure that you will enjoy working with Martine & Phill as mush as we did.

For a real adventure day out drive up to the Camininto del Rey and do the newly constructed gorge walk, its stunning and well worth a visit. You need to book online at www.caminitodelrey.info.en and it costs 12 Euros each inclusive.
