Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 3
Ingrid Flute's Yorkshire Holiday Cottages
Small but perfectly formed. Very clean and simply furnished with all we needed. We used a shower adapter for the bath which was useful for hair washing but there was copious hot water for baths . It was a great spot for visiting all the North York’s Moors coastal paths and having parking next to the cottage is a definite plus. Great food in nearby Ellerby. Only negative was nothing nearby without a car in the evening
Good location. Good value petite cottage.
Overall a good stay. A neat well equipped cottage in a good area to explore the Moors and Coast. Night storage heater took a little adjustment to get the place comfortable. We stayed as a couple for 3 nights before our son joined us. Very comfortable for two but felt small for three in the communal areas. But as we were out a lot and only used the cottage as a base it was great stay. (Son a 6ft 20 year old).
A quaint Yorkshire Moors cottage in a very quiet, idyllic, location.
We rented this property hoping it would be in a very quiet, 'away from it all' location. We were not disappointed. The cottage is furnished in a very comfortable, traditional, style. Everything that would be needed for a comfortable stay is available. Things to be aware of are: the nearest village store is approx 11/2 miles away: there is no wifi and telephone signal availability is a tad hit-and-miss: you need to have a car available: driving can involve very narrow country lanes and the ever present possibility of approaching very large tractors! The property owners were very welcoming and gave us some excellent recommendations for local places of interest. Yorkshire abounds with National Trust Country Houses to visit. A visit to Lastingham Grange for afternoon tea is a very special experience on many different levels. The Yorkshire Coast is also abundant with resorts and very attractive bays, sufficient to be spoilt for choice. What more is there to be said. Looking forwards to our next visit.
