About Linda Cherven
We were searching for a nice place to retire. After searching all over Western North Carolina we settled in Maggie Valley. There was just something about this small town we really liked. Friendly people and small town living. My husband was a telephone repairman and I was a nurse. We worked hard to get where we are today. We have yours, mine and ours children. Four daughters and so proud of each one of them.
Linda Cherven purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Linda Cherven chose Maggie Valley
We bought this cabin when we first arrived in Maggie Valley. We have enjoyed the years we lived in the cabin and made many friends seasonally and permanently. When summer comes it is like a "summer retreat." We still live in Maggie Valley. I wanted to keep this cabin and let others make great memories and enjoy what we had experienced.
What makes this Cabin unique
You are looking up at the mountains which means you can bike or walk anywhere especially to the restaurants, park across from Campbell Creek, churches, etc. Since it is a one story house there are only two steps in garage into the kitchen. Having a garage when it rains or snows is excellent and easy to bring in groceries. We get a nice breeze during the spring/summer/fall months.... hardly used the A/C. But it is there for you if you need it. It is a nice setting and you can hear the church chimes during the day from your screened-in porch. Minutes to casino in Cherokee and lots of places to go visit .... Gatlinburg, Asheville, etc. We are motorcycle friendly with a garage to store you bikes.
Beautiful yard to play in.

That View is AMAZING!!
Everything we were looking for in a vacation, RELAXATION!! Cabin was beautiful and in a wonderful location. Off the beaten path yet close to everything. We will definitely be back, and I’m hoping sooner than later.
Visit to Maggie Valley
Our visit to this cabin was every thing as described an more. Linda was very accommodating with all of our request for information before an during our stay. The cabin was perfect for our trip for motorcycle riding in the area. Nice place to relax after a day of riding. Will be back to this area again to take in more of all that is available to see an do in the Maggie Valley area. Would stay at this cabin again as it was well stocked with every we needed to make our stay feel like home. An by the way we did get to see an elk one afternoon in the pasture next to the cabin. Should have seen another on a different day but was out in town that late afternoon as Linda texted us to let us know they were out again. Will just have to go back I guess. Thanks Linda for allowing us to use this awesome place.
We will be back to stay again.
It was a great experience
Great time in Maggie Valley
While my family and I have been going to the United Methodist annual conference for many years at Lake Junaluska we had always stayed and surrounding motels. Our last vacation to Crossville Tennessee we stayed at a home away condo. Naturally when it was time for the conference we begin to look for somewhere to stay with home way. We were not disappointed, the cabin was great, it was clean, and the stay was absolutely awesome. The next time I am in the Maggie Valley area I will definitely want to stay at this cabin.
Linda's cabin is a gem. The view is extraordinary. Sit back, watch the mountains calicoed with clouds, have a glass of wine while the cows serenade you as the elk graze in the meadow. Our dog Casey gives the cabin a Four Paw Rating.
Great view from cabin, very clean, quiet neighborhood, easy to access. The owners were nice & very easy to work with. I will definitely be back!
Location is great for many Maggie Valley attractions. There is always something going on at the Festival Grounds, Ghost Town in the Sky, a lot of places to eat, hiking, Motorcycle rallies. Walk the streets of downtown Waynesville. You also can venture out for the day to the Casino in Cherokee or walk the town of Cherokee and visit the shops... then to other towns over the Smokys to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge to Dollywood. Asheville also has events through the summer.
