About the property

8 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 8 toilets in total, large dinning kitchen, second kitchen, sitting rooms upstairs and downstairs with large open fire, cosy and warm. Snooker room, large garden and unending beautiful countryside.

This spacious large country house was formerly a farmhouse dating from the early 1800s and a magnificent stone barn dating from the 1600s. They are now combined into a newly renovated, newly furnished and newly equipped house suitable for family gatherings and group holidays.

Set at the end of a one mile long private track (tarmacked) in the depths of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales countryside, this former farmhouse makes an excellent base for touring the western Yorkshire Dales and rural Lancashire with the Lake District just an hour and a half away and York a similar time in the other direction.

The pleasant riverside village of Gargrave with late opening Coop supermarket, cafes, pubs and Indian restaurant is 2 miles. The attractive market town of Skipton with large supermarkets (Morrisons, Tescos, Aldi) and many independent shops and restaurants is 7 miles.

Wonderful country walks on public footpaths radiate out in all directions from this idyllically located rural property.

There are 8 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and 8 toilets. One ground floor king size double bedroom with adjacent bathroom, 2 first floor king size double bedrooms each with spacious en suite bathroom, one double bedroom and four twin bedrooms which means that the house sleeps 16 adults in comfort.

All windows have wonderful long distance views of unspoilt green countryside with grazing sheep, cattle, horses, rolling green hills and woodland.

The renovation is to a high standard.

There is be a new huge farmhouse style dining kitchen complete with 2 oven range cooker, extra large fridge, separate freezer and dining table for 16 people. There is a second kitchen with 4 ring electric hob, oven and grill and another fridge plus a second dishwasher.

The games room has a full size snooker table and full ancillary equipment to professional snooker standard. There are two comfortable sitting rooms (one with open fire in feature stone surround) each with a 42 inch flat screen TV.

Up to 4 dogs are welcome. The garden is dog proof, but they must be on a lead outside the garden because this is sheep farming country.

Four separate public footpaths radiate in different directions from this house, making it a perfect base for easy walking holidays. More strenuous walks are available in nearby Ribblesdale up the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

An idyllic spot

We hosted a 70th birthday party, the house is just exactly the right place to have family and friends to stay, there is so much space that everyone can be in one room or spread themselves around, we had eighteen people staying. The bedrooms are all beautifully furnished and presented as are the living areas. We employed a chef to cater for us on the actual birthday and there was ample room for him to cook and for all of us to sit and have a wonderful feast. The property is set in the most gorgeous surroundings, so you and your guests can use the lovely garden or as some of our guests did, you can take a lovely walk into the surrounding countryside.

Deb who looks after the property, is wonderful to deal with - nothing is too much trouble.

We would book again in the future, it is in a nutshell superb.

Perfect location, beautiful House

Had been searching for a large property to allow 13 family members and 4 dogs for quite a few weeks when I came upon this Gem. We were celebrating my Husbands 65th birthday and we had a fantastic weekend. The weather was sunny and hot and we even had a bbq on Sunday. The house was lovely, had everything we needed and more than enough bedrooms and bathrooms to cater for us all. The billiard room was a huge success, adults and older children all playing together. The younger Grandchildren loved the football table and the plentiful board games. We had such a good time they are asking if we can book again. 😊?

Great house for large groups in fabulous location

The house is brilliant for groups of family/friends to get together and it was perfect for us to celebrate my Mum’s 80th with family. Our group consisted of 14 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 babies and there was plenty of space for everyone. The property is well equipped with everything you need and the owners are close by (but not intrusive) if you need anything. The large kitchen along with the large dining table is a very sociable area for cooking/eating in and we loved the cosy lounge with the wood burning fire (plenty of logs provided). The snooker room was also a big hit. The property also has the benefit of plenty of bathrooms/extra toilets which can be lacking in some properties. We loved that virtually every window had a beautiful view and the surrounding area is fabulous. Plenty to do and see and lots of options for eating out. We enjoyed a good pub lunch at the Masons in Gargrave on our arrival day and a beautiful celebration meal at the Devonshire Arms, Bolton Abbey. Staff at both venues were very welcoming and accommodating. Would have no hesitation in returning to the property. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A lovely, clean, well maintained property with excellent facilities. The snooker room was a hit and provided very sociable evenings. The property lacks for nothing, all equipment and utensils have been thought of.

Beautiful comfortable home.

Stayed with extended family near Christmas. The little kids loved the 2 sets of stairs and the big ones love the snooker table. We were lucky enough to have snow and had a wonderful time building snowmen and sledging down the hill. We have stayed before and found the extra table in the kitchen very useful this time as well as preferring the new pictures on the wall!

We are ideally situated for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, the lake District is just over an hours away by car and York is similar in the other direction. Shopping in Leeds is fabulous but if its the quiet life you are after then the walking/scenery is spectacular with Malham Cove and Gordal Scar near by. Skipton town has a Castle and many good places to eat, there is a Cinema, swimming pool and Canal boat rides. All the usual supermarkets which will deliver to Ingber House. Great dog walking and cycling surrounds the house.
