We loved the location, house, and hostess Mary! Great place to stay and see so many sights!
The experience at this property was excellent! The house was huge and very charming! We didn't read the details about the electric charge (metered electricity), but we weren't there during the day so didn't use a lot of electricity. Imagine Ireland should give more details about that potential fee, it wasn't clearly stated in T& C's. We liked the policy to keep the place like we found it.
The location is very rural and the scenery is beautiful. The house has several bedrooms and bathrooms for each. Those were the positives! The heat system has an over ride button that only turns heat on for 2 hour intervals. You arrive to a cold house, keep hitting a button for heat while you are awake and then wake to a cold house because there is no one hitting the heat button while you sleep. We wore as many layers to bed as we did outside during the day. In addition, the Owner takes a meter reading for the electric when you arrive so you can pay for the heat and electricity used during your stay. For 4 days and 7 people we used about $20.00 USD worth of electricity and heat. The Owners should consider raising the price of the nightly rate and leaving the darn heat on rather than rationing it, leaving guests cold. Not a hospitable gesture at all.
Prices for 2018 are based on rates from 2017. We are still awaiting confirmation of exact arrangements from the suppliers. In the unlikely event of changes to the price, advertised facilities or withdrawal of the property, your payment is fully transferrable to another Imagine Ireland property or refundable.
