When it comes to Spanish holiday rentals-its just not the indoor space and facilities that matter-it's the quality of the outdoor space that really counts! With a comfortable, well equipped relaxing light and airy interior, this is also the ideal property for enjoying outdoor living, whether you are swimming, sunbathing, dining or just relaxing.
Our recently refurbished, attractive self contained villa with large roof terrace and rear private patio is in a small terraced development.Located within a quiet residential area but within a short walking distance to all amenities, with three private terraces, British and Spanish TV, DVD, WiFi, (fast strong fibreoptic not 4g) and aircon in all rooms.The back door opens out onto a private garden with a lockable gate which opens directly to the communal gardens and pools . There are three pools, a shallow children's pool within 20 paces of your back gate ,a standard depth pool and a deep pool at the furthest distance all joined by waterfalls.
The private lower terrace to the rear of the property has a stone patio furniture, umbella, BBQ, plants, lighting and overlooks the communal gardens and pools which are exclusive to only 19 properties. ( Please note that the pools are closed from the 1st November to 1st April each year for maintenance.)
In addition there is a spacious private roof terrace equipped with 4 sunbeds, patio furniture on an artificial turf surface, lighting and a retractable full width canopy, It is a suntrap for most of the day and is a pleasent evening retreat for evening drinks and meals.
The front of the villa has a small terrace and looks across the garden to a park area, Restaurants ,bars and shops are a five minute walk away.
Beaches of La Zenia and Playa Flamenca are a 15 minute drive away, Villamartin Plaza with its bars and restaurents 5 minutes, and La Zenia shopping mall 15 minutes. For more photos see our entry on holidaylettings ref. 7364203 .
Please note that we do not charge extra for the electric or the wifi but ask that guests are sensible in the use of the aircon.
In common with all Spanish holiday lets we require the cost of house cleaning and laundry to be paid to our keyholder in cash locally.This is 50Euros.This is paid to the keyholder on arrival.
For arrivals after 18.00 and check out after 10.00 this is by special arrangement and there is a 25 Euro charge paid locally to our keyholder.Again this is paid on arrival.
Please note that these charges are mandatory and a condition of your booking. It is also a condition of the booking that guests adhere to the community rules a copy of which is posted in the property,particularly those regarding use of the pools.
Our keyholders can also collect and deliver you to your airport. Murcia for 30 Euros or Alicante for 60 Euros each way.
Please contact our keyholder at the time you collect your car at the airport so she can estimate your time of arrival.

great little apartment has everything you need great location
Was very pleased with the apartment it was very clean and had everything we needed even beach towels, kids enjoyed playing with all the kids bits and was great having the upstaires space to relax, we know the are so knew the location would be good, but for those who don't theres lots near by walking distance, bars, shops and restaurants. lovely pool area my daughter loved it and all the neighbour's were very friendly, would highly recommend and defo stay there again.

the property was nice
We could not sit outside the property in any of the terraces as we were pestered with flies and wasps constantly at the front of the property there was a bush and it was full of wasps so we could not enjoy staying at the property we had to go out all the time
I am very dissappointed to receive your negative response. The wasp situation has been reported to our keyholders and i will be taking the matter up with them next week when we go out. Unfortunately whilst the wasp situation was not acceptable, being Spain you do tend to get a lot of flying nasties. We have not encountered this problem with wasps before. Your review does seem to be at odds with other reviews we have had with guests prior to your visit. We will investigate on our return next week and take remedial action now that we are aware of this problem. Your stay was the 3rd Sept but your review was the 12th October. We are not happy that this problem was not reported to us so that we could authorise immediate action by an expert to eradicate the nest whilst you were there. All we can do now is apologise for any inconvenience caused
Clean, well equipped apartment
We have just come back from a two week stay at this apartment. Marcus, the owner, has been very helpful throughout. The key holders, Mo and Wayne, have also been excellent and offer airport transfers and really cheap car hire, both of which we made use of. The complex itself is very secure, clean and friendly. The pool is beautifully maintained and easily accessed via a small garden gate. You can sit on the patio and supervise your children at the pool which was a real benefit for us with our two children aged 7 and 9. The apartment is lovely and air conditioned throughout. However, you cannot have all air conditioner units on as well as the tv or lights as this trips the power. This was not a problem for us but worth knowing instead of being plunged into darkness unexpectedly! The wifi is ok, a little slower than we are used to back in the U.K. And only works if the shutters are fully up in the living room. Again not a problem for us but worth knowing. The pool area has very strict rules which ensures it's safe and well maintained but you cannot eat or drink around the pool, play ball games or use inflatables. The neighbours are very hot on this and will come out and speak to you if you don't obey these rules. I believe this is due to their insurance and I think it is a norm for communal pools in this area of Spain. Outside the apartment you can reach bars and restaurants and a small shop within a 5 to 10 minutes walk. The restaurants are British or Chinese. We visited a few different ones over the fortnight. This area is full of British expats so you'll have to search further afield if you want more Spanish type food. The beach is a 10 minute drive but get there early as parking is difficult and the roads around the coast are very busy and congested. We visited La Zenia and Playa Flamenca as well as some of the water parks. Aquapolis is a huge water park in Torreviaja and is very expensive. We went there on our last day as a final treat but be prepared to spend a lot of money there as it's not cheap to get in, you have to pay car parking and for sunbeds and we also upgraded to the Speedy Pass as the queues are crazy. Kids loved it though and if you book online in advance it works out quite a bit cheaper than the on the door prices. All in all we have enjoyed our holiday and met some lovely people. The area is undergoing a lot of development and building so I expect it'll change quite rapidly over the next year or so.

The wifi will improve next year as we are going over to fibreoptic connection from 4g.
We were not aware of the rule regarding inflatables in the pools but apparently they are illegal in Spain due to children being trapped under them. The community rules have now been amended accordingly.
The power cut out is a strange one. We are taking this one up with the power company as we have not received any notification from guests in the past.
There is the Taverna Espanol just down the road and round the corner which serves Tapas and has a Mariachi duo on a Friday night. Great entertainment and atmosphere. You need to book.

Very central for golf courses. There is freshwater fishing available at Padrera reservoir (Valencian licence required). There is also a water park just outside Torrevieja. Seven beaches are within easy reach by car.(20 minutes).The property is near the edge of the urbanisation and an easy walk up to wooded countryside. Local areas are the Salinas at La Mata nature reseve where Flamingoes can be seen.This is a well preserved area with walkways,birdhides and picnic areas, ideal for a meal amongst the pine groves.
The town of Elche is within driving distance and is worth a visit for its garden with the "Lady of Elche" and its extensive palm parkland. The local town of Orihuela on the River Segura has interesting museums including a display of beautifully crafted processional floats - the gold and colours knock your eyes out! There is also the town of Alicante with its long beachfront and plazas and excellent seafood restaurents round the marina. Its famous for its Castle and Marine Archaelogical museum and we would recommend the double decker tourist bus which is a hop on hop off service and which gives a running commentary. It offers a switch back ride up to the castle which is not for the faint hearted if you are on the upper deck! Alternatively you can take the lift(elevator) from the front up to the castle.
Both Murcia and Cartagena are within easy reach by car on the motorway. Cartegena in particular is famous for its Roman remains including an amphitheatre. Local markets are fun to visit, there is a touristy one in Playa Flamenca or the next village at San Miguel de Salinas has a more Spanish affair. Rates are subject to change. It is a condition of our booking acceptance that the community rules as listed in our guests guide,- which is made available at the property, are fully complied with. These mainly involve rules for the pools and communal areas.. Laundry and cleaning costs are not included and must be paid to our keyholder on checkout.
