Welcome to Thatchdown Cottage, a Grade II listed home, which was built during the year when King Henry VI was crowned King of England. Your stay in our 400 years old grade II listed cottage will take away the stress of daily life right away. Without lacking the convenience of modern times like WiFi, TV and electric heating, you can transport yourself back 500 years where the house saw horses being exchanged outside, a stew brewing on the fireplace in a big old iron pot and a welcoming fire blazing in open fireplaces.
With enough space for the entire family to enjoy the fire with a glass of something nice, watch TV or play the piano.
This is a pet friendly place and all sorts of well behaved family members are welcome. However this does not mean the house smells of animals nor do allergy prone visitors need to worry. We give the house a thorough clean and use animal filters in our vacuum cleaner.
The downstairs of the cottage comprises of a dining area with a log burner and a large lounge, with an open fire place, a piano, sofa area as well as a TV/music corner to stay up to date with the world.
The upstairs offers two double bedrooms and the second bedroom also contains a double sofa bed for your children and their friends. The two bedrooms are divided by a 'walk through resting room' and a large bathroom with bath/shower and a lovely view of the garden.
