The apartment is perfectly positioned between the Old Town with its fantastic museums churches and squares; the Jewish District (Kazimierz) and the fabulous Renaissance Wawel Castle - all are approximately a 4 minute walk away. There are numerous tram and bus routes within 2 minutes walk in either direction and the train and bus station are a 10-minute walk away. There is a great variety of restaurants both in the Old City and also in Kazimierz. Across the street from the apartment is a useful grocery store. Easy access to airport, public transport and main roads leading out of Krakow. Central location within walking distance of main attractions. Quiet upscale neighbourhood.
The Dragon's Den was perfect for our 2 small families traveling together (4 adults, 4 school-aged kids). The space was larger than I expected, so there was privacy upstairs for the adults and lots of room to play and sleep downstairs for the kids. The building itself was cool and funky, with exposed and painted brick and lots of nooks and crannies - beautiful. Heat, showers, and modern appliances worked well (including a clothes dryer!). Location is close to everything you want to walk to in the city and stayed nice and quiet at night.
Upon booking, the owners were responsive and gave clear check-in instructions and all went well. Julia, the greeter, was professional and helpful, and let us know she was available for any questions that might come up. She also helped us find affordable parking, which saved us money and some of the headache involved with driving in a large city.
We loved Krakow, this place was absolutely worth its price, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!
