Great historic house!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this historic home. We had six people and were comfortable and managed fine with one bathroom. The house was not too far a walk to the Alamo and restaurants and we felt safe doing so with theee adults and three teens. The home is renovated beautifully to retain historic architecture so if that is something you are into like we are you will appreciate it. And the bottle of wine left by Mona was a sweet surprise! Thank you for a great stay!

Unique Vacation Stay for the Whole Family

  • 4 of 5

If you're looking for somewhere to stay that's convenient to downtown, but with way more personality than a hotel, this is it. Our family of six (children ages 10-17) enjoyed four nights in this historic home while we explored San Antonio. It was a cozy retreat after our day spent out and about, and the kids really loved exploring Netflix. It is within walking distance of the Alamo and Riverwalk, but we also had a rental car so drove a few times. We always appreciated returning to the private, gated parking area which we used as our main entrance. The home does sit on a busy street, but there was minimal street noise and we always felt safe. There is a bus station around the corner, but it can easily be avoided. All contact with Mona was wonderful.

Great Week in San Antonio

  • 5 of 5

The house was much more than I expected. For two old guys, the house was a great place to rest, sit in the wonderful patio, drink a cold beer and veg. I would recommend the house to any one coming to this city.

Great place to stay my family enjoyed it the week of 4th of July. We loved the proximity to downtown that was just a short walk and we took advantage of the back patio for our morning coffee. The house has been beautifully restored we loved the history of the home. By the way thank you for the bottle of wine we will definitely stay here again.

Awesome location and cute historic house!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 6 really loved our stay at Stonehaus. Mona is a very attentive hostess and gave great suggestions. The location is within walking distance to the Alamo, Riverwalk, and The Pearl. We had a great 4th of July in San Antonio.

Perfect location for discovering the history of San Antonio

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Stone Haus a couple of weeks ago. It was our first visit ever to San Antonio and we looked for a place that would have a "homey" feel for a visit with our son and granddaughter and be in a location that allowed us the freedom to not have to drive to visit the historic sites of San Antonio. This home checked all of those boxes. It was a super hot weekend and the home stayed cool and comfortable and the lovely shaded courtyard in back was the perfect spot for morning coffee and afternoon relaxing. The house is beautiful inside and we didn't want for anything that it didn't offer. The location is a little funky since it is right downtown and the town has basically grown around this historic home and the other one next to it. But, with the privacy of the back yard, that didn't affect our stay in any way. We would definitely stay here again.
