Introducing to our exclusive 'Handpicked' collection for 2017, the beautifully refurbished Miss Fisher's, with stunning contemporary decor, two cosy bedrooms and easy access to the charming coastal village of Port Isaac.
As you enter through the porthole front door, you will find a small porch which is very handy for coats and muddy boots. The open plan lounge/diner/kitchen has a log burning stove, church style dining table, comfy seating, TV, Freeview with built-in DVD Player and double patio doors to the rear garden. The kitchen also has a handy tumble dryer on your return from a day at the beach! The master bedroom has a small en-suite with an impressive rain shower and heated towel rails. The beautifully furnished bedroom offers a double bed with a new sumptuous mattress, wardrobe and patio doors to the garden where you can wake up to the Cornish sunshine, step outside and enjoy breakfast on the patio. Bedroom two is a twin room with single beds, new comfortable mattresses, under-bed storage and a wardrobe to ensure all your holiday essentials are packed away safely. A family bathroom with bath, overhead shower and heated towel rails adjoin the living area. Enjoy a cosy night in when the evenings get a little cold in front of the log-burning fire - snuggle up on the comfy sofa and relax with a glass of wine and a good book!
The property offers broadband throughout the cottage and outside in the Shepherd's Hut. You will also find a few DVDs of Doc Martin episodes and Saving Grace along with a selection of books, and a small library in the Shepherd's Hut. If you want to do something more exciting the iPad is pre-programmed with plenty of local activities to inspire on your Cornish self-catering escape. It contains lots of useful local information for activities and places to eat and visit locally. Try coasteering, stand up paddle boarding (SUP), surfing, kayaking or walks on the stunning coastal path. There is a list of dog friendly beaches and restaurants for our four-legged friends to enjoy too. Relax and soak up the selection of calming music and Fisherman's Friends sea shanties, or alternatively, log into Spotify via the app and play your music through the cottage's bluetooth speaker.
Stepping outside, there is a beautiful Shepherd's Hut with plenty of seating for everyone to share the space and use it as a Summer House, or, if you find you have to juggle a little bit of work it has a writing desk and wi-fi. Or, perhaps sit in the comfy chair and read a book after an eventful day - you will find a selection of books here to while away a few quiet hours. The dogs and children will love the all year round turf in the garden. There are two large patio areas for you to enjoy, but the one around the Shepherd's Hut gets a slightly longer day. On the patio nearest the house you will find a Kadai, an Indian firepit (there are some recipes on this website, and on the iPad) which is great for making fresh seafood and delicious local delicacies!
New Road, where Miss Fisher's is located, is easy to access. There is car parking for 2 cars in front of the cottage and the Platt (harbour) is only a 4 minute walk away. Miss Fisher's is close to a handy supermarket selling almost everything you will need, including fresh frangipans and Portuguese custard tarts.
