About the property

House, 1 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, (Sleeps 2)

Ideally situated on the North Cornwall Coast, The Jam Store takes its name from the owners’ artisan jam making business. The owner is happy to run jam making classes so you can take home your jam or marmalade as a souvenir. This single-storey holiday apartment, adjacent to the owners’ home, lies within a short stroll of Mawgan Porth Beach, a wide sandy bay backed by the village with its own deli, restaurant, surf shop and local pub serving great food and drinks.Mawgan Porth is situated between Newquay and Padstow, which both offer a diverse range of acticvities. Padstow is easily reached either by the coastal road, which dips in to secluded coves, or by the coastal path, where fine dining, fishing, boat trips and cycling along the Camel Trail can all be enjoyed in this quaint fishing village, made popular by TV chef Rick Stein.Famous for its surfing beaches, Newquay is 6 miles away, with its zoo and sports centres. Jamie Oliver’s restaurant, Fifteen, is at Watergate Bay, 3 miles along the road or coastal footpath, where there is a beach café and an extreme sports academy offering kite surfing, windsurfing and much more. The area is ideally situated for visiting the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Bodmin Moor. Newquay Airport is just minutes away, so why not fly in and leave the car at home, or perhaps enjoy a flying lesson and take a gull’s eye view of the stunning coastline? If you need a car to explore, then car hire is also available at the airport. Beach ¼ mile. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant 400 yards.
