Beautifully well equipped cottage. Wanted for nothing. Local shop relatively close. Friendly locals and unspoilt naturally beautiful location. Waking up to loch side views was superb. Harris is stunning and this cottage is close to some of the most stunning beaches I've seen anywhere.

Very nice cottage, wonderful landscape and excellent shore fishing

  • 5 of 5

It is a very nice cottage located at a lake and hills with a fantastic views.

The house is very well equipped, starting from kitchen utensils and ending with hiking maps, a nautical chart and even a tide-clock.

There is also a descent shop in a walking distance.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this cottage and would highly recommend for others.

If you like highland Scotland, you will find all its variety within a small area, from the sea lochs, inlets, coves, bays, cliffs and headlands on the East, through heath, moorland and freshwater lochs inland, very dramatic mountain scenery in the North and superb beaches and sea like the Aegean in the West.

Wherever you are standing, you can see for miles.

Birds - golden eagle, sea eagle, buzzard, peregrine falcon, gannet, raven etc.

Sea - pilot whale, orca, dolphin, porpoise, seal, otter etc.

Ferry - Leverburgh to Berneray and thence to the Uists, Barra etc. Boat trips - to St Kilda, Taransay, small islands.

Good game fishing.

Kindly and pleasant people - houses don't have letter boxes as no one locks their door.

Peace and quiet....I could go on.....
