Perfect getaway for a young family

  • 5 of 5

We loved Babe's place and hope to stay there again with our next trip. Perfect location in the "downtown" area and walking distance to the beach.

Great bathroom, bedrooms and amenities. Also really helpful to have wifi since my cell phone reception was often sparse.

Cozy and just right for us

  • 5 of 5

This is a small, but homey and cozy and well-maintained house that was just right for my husband and I to get away to in a quiet, beautiful location. It really is within walking distance of everything in town, and the town is near to several hiking trails and the Pictured Rocks Lakeshore. It was our first time in the UP and we hope to return!

Great Place.

  • 5 of 5

Babe's place was very clean. I was surprised....usually rentals are not so well taken care of. Having the attached garage was very nice, as we could keep the snowmobiles right inside and take our gear off out there also so we didn't track all the snow inside the cottage. It's in a perfect location to walk into town, even while it's winter. Nice to come back from riding, take gear off, and walk to the 2 bars. Having the 1/2 bath was a definite plus! We will definitely try to stay there again next snowmobile season.

Only made 1 breakfast there, but it definitely seemed like a well stocked kitchen. No cell service, but the cottage did have WiFi, which was great.

Plenty of room for parking a couple trucks and trailers, even our 3 place inline. Although, if you're not good at maneuvering, you may want to back it in from the cross street because Babe's it at the end of a dead end street.
