Spacious 1st floor apartment in quiet South Mission Beach. Bright, airy, open floorpan combining living, dining and kitchen areas with central island and barstools. Includes large master bedroom with private bathroom and French doors opening onto the front patio. Tandem 2-car garage from alley with direct access to interior of apartment. Large front patio includes BBQ and comfortable outdoor furniture on which to dine and relax, the patio is yours during your stay. We are child- and pet-friendly! Your rental includes everything you need for a beach holiday: surfboards, boogie boards, and beach games and toys for young and old alike. We also provide all modern conveniences such as laundry, cable television, and wireless internet for your use and enjoyment.

Located on one of the quiet tree-lined walkways of Mission Beach, this unit is just steps away from both the beach and bay. To the west, just across Mission Blvd is the exciting, vibrant boardwalk and the ocean front setting of South Mission Beach. Surf, boogie-board, or swim in the waves, stretch out on the sand in the sun, or make sand castles and play on the shoreline. Take an easy walk to South Mission Beach Park with its grassy picnic areas, basketball and volleyball courts, and rocky jetty extending into the ocean. Walk, jog, skate or bike along the famous boardwalk, which meanders for miles along the entire beachfront and around all of Mission Bay.

To the east, just a few steps from your door, you'll find the quiet, peaceful bayfront and the tranquil waters of Mariner's Basin, a protected arm of Mission Bay. Sailboats rest at anchor, wide sandy beaches stretch along Bayside Walk, and grassy park and playground areas are just a few minutes away. Watch boats cruise in and out of the channel between rocky jetties, gaze across the water to Dog Beach, Hospitality Point, enjoy views of bridges, the Hyatt Islandia hotel, and the SeaWorld Skytower.

Half a mile north is Belmont Park, featuring the restored 1925 wooden Giant Dipper roller coaster and other amusement park rides. The olympic-sized indoor swimming pool The Plunge is also here, as well as the Wave House and assorted retail shops and eateries. Farther north but within easy biking distance, enjoy Crystal Pier, boat rental facilities, as well as the exciting shopping, restaurants, and nightlife of Pacific Beach along Garnet Avenue.

This rental is situated perfectly to enjoy the vast playground of Mission Bay Park, where you can bike for over ten miles along the waterfront areas without ever encountering street traffic. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling/diving, boating, sailing, waterskiing, surfing, windsurfing, parasailing, jetskiing, and many other activities.

Within 5-20 minutes is SeaWorld, the world-famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, and Old Town with its excellent Mexican restaurants. In the downtown area you'll find Seaport Village, Petco Park, our modern Convention Center, and the historic Gaslamp Quarter. Or visit scenic La Jolla, with its beautiful Cove and upscale shops and restaurants.

Half an hour's drive takes you to Mexico to the south or Legoland to the north. A bit farther is the Wild Animal Park, gambling casinos, and the quaint historic gold rush town of Julian, in the mountains east of San Diego. Even Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm can be easily done as a day trip.

This place has everything you will need for the best family vacation. It’s a 3 minute walk to the ocean beach and a 1 minute walk to the bay.

LOOK NO FURTHER...This is it!

You will thoroughly enjoy your stay at this property. PERFECT location, PERFECT layout, PERFECT price. Beautifully remodeled through the majority of the home and very clean. Wonderful to have all the beach/bay chairs, umbrellas, boogie/surfboards, and sand toys available. Plenty of beach towels too. The street this home is on is very well maintained so you're not looking as run down or unkept properties as some other locations. All the beds were comfy and I'm picky.

With ANY beach town, and as other reviews point out, parking can be fun. Our cars were mid-size and fit well in the tandem garage. If we had guests visiting we would move our cars to street parking first thing in the morning to free up the garage. It was a family affair shuffling cars :-)

Tara and Mark are awesome hosts and quick to respond to inquiries. Having laminate flooring allowed for a daily sweeping to keep sand at bay. No odors in this home as you often find at beach homes. Large living area and very good size bedrooms. The patio area is huge and a great place to gather...we spent most of our time there :-)

I hope our travel plans take us to SD again as this is the place for us.

Almost like home!

We had an amazing time and it felt like home. Very comfortable for our family of 6. We were a bit nervous about not having AC, but open the windows during the day and it cools off nicely. Also, van are everywhere to help as well. A few houses away from the bay and a quick drive to Seaworld. The garage was a bit tight, but we managed. It was definitely nice to be able to park off the street.

Had a small issue with the shower head, but they were very accommodating in getting things figured out and handled quickly.

Loved the board games and such that were available for our down time.

Nice quiet neighbors.

Loved the fact that it is in the lowest bay area. There was a lot less traffic and people down there, which made it way more peaceful for us and our family.

Wonderful family getaway condo!

Our family of 4 had THE BEST vacation! The condo is steps away from the bay with all the beach toys needed for a fun day ready in the garage. The condo is well appointed and the manager is readily available if needed. The ocean side is a short walk away and Belmont Park is a half mile (an easy walk along the ocean). This location and condo are highly recommended!!
