Situated below the church on the edge of the old village La Fuente is a new development designed in the Andalucian architectural style with a strong Moorish influence.

The Penthouse has two terraces the largest is the size of the floor area of the apartment and is where you will find the private pool.

La Fuente boasts communal gardens, a communal pool plus a children's splash pool and a tennis/paddle court. Parking is available on the road below the property and there is a lift from the street directly to the front door. The contemporary furnishings are to a good standard; The sitting room has a leather sofa and flat screen TV. which is linked to a satellite offering BBC and ITV or Euronet.

Our family of 4 with 2 adult children stayed in the flat for 2 weeks and enjoyed it a lot. The furnishing is a little sparse for a penthouse - among other things we could have wished some better lawn chairs with loose cushions for all 4 chairs at the terrasse - but the location of the flat, the size of it and the pool is absolutely perfect.

Communication with the owners and with the personel in the village was smooth and accomodating.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and glad that you enjoyed the penthouse We will consider buying more cushions for the terrace and possible extra seating and will have a look this September. However the beauty of the terrace might be spoilt by too much furniture Also chose a minimalist feel to the penthouse because after trying other options it felt too crowded. This year we spent 1500 gbp on beautiful cupboards in the lounge and this year we intend to replace the sofa with an L shaped unit which will look great.

En fantastisk semester i underbara Frigiliana med omnejd!

En fantastiskt bostad med allt som vi (2 vuxna och 2 barn, 8 och 4 år) behövde. Trots att det inte fanns någon ac så höll sig bostaden sval. Poolen på terassen nyttjades flitigt av alla i hela familjen även om vi mest var vid den gemensamma poolen. Väldigt lättstädad lägenhet så vi ångrar inte att vi inte köpte till någon städning under de tre veckorna vi var där. Enkelt att hitta parkering utanför huset när vi varit iväg under dagen. Trevliga och hjälpsamma ägare.

Skulle vi ha önskat något mer så vore det ett något bättre utrustat kök, vi saknande framförallt en bra stekpanna och vassare knivar. Men vi kan absolut tänka oss att komma tillbaka!

Euro news 2016

Frigiliana has just been officially chosen as one of the 'Rural Wonders of Spain'.

This was decided on the 24th November following a month of online voting for the awards.

The village is beautiful with many lovely restaurants little bars and seasonal festivals every month or two.

The hills around the village have beautiful walking trails and the beaches on the coast are both beautiful coves or long sandy stretches with clear blue water to swim in.

Nerja hosts an abundance of festivals and is an interesting and pretty historic town. Visitors enjoy the area called 'The Balcon' with its tall palms, cafes and stunning sea views along the coast.

There are famous caves to explore in Nerja and a good golf course down the road in Velez Malaga.

Road trips of about an hour will get you to Granada ( Alhambra) or into Malaga Both these cities offer you a taste of the real Spain, its history and culture.
