This wonderful home is located on the top floor of the "Pension 61" historic place of passage for travelers and artists of the nineteenth century. Located in "Punta Reginella", the place where you can enjoy the most beautiful view of Positano, it looks to the left on the large beach "Incanto" and to the right on Fornillo Bay with Tower of Clavel and in the background the island of Li Galli residence of L. Massine and Rudolph Nureyv. From the terrace of the house, as in a ship is its bow, you can appreciate the view of the sunrise as in a few places in the world, and when the sun goes down, the landscape takes on the colors of pink / lilac that in Positano reach heavenly shades. The house composes of four panoramic bedrooms with private bathrooms, they preserve the ancient old inn distribution, which the owners have wanted to keep intact. All rooms have same magnificent view, including the kitchen and bathroom for guests. Even the hall with beautiful Moorish window that gives access to the terrace offers a breathtaking glimpse of the Amalfi Coast. Home decorating is extremely careful, made of antiques and design, and is the result of the owners' passion for travel and their Positano, place of adoption, along with the city of Naples belonging. The house is full of references to the concept of "Uovo" and the legend of the Sirens of Homer to anyone who was interested. The house is situated in the heart of Positano, and is a few stairs from the street level where you'll find restaurants, bars, pharmacies and bus stops around the country's interior. The two main beaches are within walking distance in five minutes along a picturesque footpath. The price includes daily cleaning for four hours (six days a week), daily linen change, air conditioning, wi-fi and final cleaning. Truly Incredible Experience - Picture perfect!
We had the most magnificent stay in this property. The photos do not even come close to doing the property justice. The attention to detail in every single corner of this home, shows the love and care for this home. The setting is superb, the home even more beautiful. Roberto the host could not have been more lovely and accommodating, and Clementina the grounds keeper brought such light into the home. She cooked for us, and made the stay even that much more touching. I could not give this property a better review. It by far surpasses the 5 star hotel options in Positano, and I look forward to staying here for many more years to come.
I am moved by the many compliments you have made, also for me it was a pleasure to have you and your family as guests. I hope to have you home again and greet you cordially.
Why Stay anywhere else!
This Villa was the perfect place for our family vacation and first trip to Italy. Roberto was awesome to work with in planning, during and after our stay. Lucy took care to meet us on arrival and Clementina not only took care of the house all week but cooked us a fabulous meal on our last night as we ate on the balcony.
The Villa is everything the pictures portray it to be. Fabulous views being situated far enough up the hill, being close to many resteraunts
And a market for supplies but still not too far away for walking down to the beach where all the shops, resteraunts and boats are. Positano is the perfect spot to base for day trips to Naples, Capri, Amalfi, Revello etc.... via a combination of Boat, ferry or driver. Take some time to go to the smaller beach for sun, food and drinks in front of Da Ferdinandos away from the crowds. Also do the cooking class and tour in Almalfi called “Amalfi Lemom Experience”. Just like Staying in Roberto’s Villa, a vacation no brainer. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Casa dell'Uovo is UNBELIEVEABLE!!
I planned a trip to Positano for my husband's 60th birthday and son's college graduation. There were a total of 5 of us and I wanted us to all be together in a house. I picked Casa dell'Uovo as the photos looked like it was beautiful. Well, the photo's don't do it justice the villa is gorgeous and the view is breathtaking! Clementina is the housekeeper and she is also an amazing chef. Clementina and Pina prepared us a dinner our first evening and it was so special and delicious that we had them cook for us again on another night. This was our first trip to Italy and staying is this beautiful villa and the special friendship with Clementina made for memories we will never forget!
Thanks for the words of appreciation also in the name of my beloved collaborator Clementina who is a true angel of the house. You have been a special guest and the best wish I can give to myself and to have you as a guest again. Thank you ,
Roberto and his crew were perfect hosts for our 5night stay. The view is more gorgeous in person and the casa is large enough for two kids to have their own room (each room is an en suite with balcony and view. One room is on bottom floor if not able to climb two steps of stairs). We arrived with 4 adults, two kids and two toddlers. The two toddlers were able to sleep on the bed with us (queen). There were lots of decorations that we had to move a bit to keep out of the toddlers way but it was easily done and still family friendly.
There are 237 steps approx to go to the beach or downtown area. The kids from ages 5 to 13 all did fine. The adults were another story but definitely do-able for people with no mobility issues.
Clementina cooked a delishes meal for us (fee plus grocery) and she was here as maid service for 4 hrs a day on behalf of Roberto. There is a washer but no dryer in the house.
If weather permits, drying outside is perfectly fine (we went in early April during shoulder season) and maid service was exceptional.
Positano had enough activities or shopping and eateries but not massive like Amalfi. Go after ferry season starts and the transport is a breeze to other islands or Amalfi cities directly out of Positano port. Can go the morning of to get tickets. Although Del Adolfo was not open in April. Strongly recommend this casa again for all ages!
The Villa was exquisitely maintained and beautifully decorated. It is obvious the owner both loves his villa and having his guest enjoy it. The view from each bedroom and the patio balcony is totally breathtaking. We have been blessed to be to Italy many times. This is by far our most favorite villa in the amalfi coast.
Additionally, and most importantly, the owner provides a cleaning lady who also doubles as an incredible cook. Although we ate at many of the local restaurants ( & totally enjoyed each meal) by far our favorite dinners were those that were cooked by us by Clementina & her colleague, Pina - both of whom were incredibly accommodating, gracious and charming. No restaurant could touch the food they personally cooked for us - WE LOVED IT!!!
We are so pleased to give this villa our highest and best recommendation !!!
Amazing location! Right in the heart of Positano, walking distance to everything!
Lucia and Floriana were awesome hosts and Clementina the house keeper baked us an amazing chocolate cake and cooked up a seafood & pasta dinner one evening. She kept the property clean and helped with our laundry. The views were stunning and the villa was very tastefully decorated and well kept. Would highly recommend to anyone!
Thanks to Lucy and Floriana who took care of the hospitality of the guests, and in particular to Clementina who takes care of the guests with the care of a true mom of southern Italy. I am very happy that you have been well and that the house is as beautiful as in the pictures. A warm greeting,
