I gotta say, i was excited about this stay until day of arrival. The communication was good until we got in the car and made our 6 our journey to Sante Fe. All communication ended. The check in process was unclear, my sister wondered around the property for a few hours trying to figure out how to get in. Upon entry, the home looked like noone had stayed in it for months. Every bathroom, toilet, sink had started to grow mold. They clearly didnt clean the place prior to us arriving as there was still toothpaste "spit" in the master bathroom sink. There were insects all over which we kind of expected with a home in the hills but these insects were not new. They were dead spiders in webbs all over the house. I expected to get a better response from the owner prior to this post but the only thing i received from the assistant was i have sent this to my manager, please complete the survey. That is definitely not the response i was looking for. We rented this home to go to the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Festival and we will never make this mistake again. I think for future reservations, it is important to set the right expectation. I work in the Luxury Travel Industry and maybe my expectations were just to high for a VRBO proprety. My only feedback to future reservations is DO NOT DO IT
My family and I (my mom, dad and their 5 kids + spouses and children) recently stayed at bishops ridge. When we signed the agreement, we were fully aware that it was a retreat center and expected to be greeted with a certain level of rustic charm (to put it nicely). When we walked into the home we were pleasantly surprised not only at how large the accommodations were; but how beautifully decorated and comfortable we instantly were! This became a sweet safe haven for the lot of us as we finished details and prepared for my little sister's wedding. The home had a few glitches while we were enjoying our stay, but Katie was always very prompt to address and fix the problems. Katie was accessible and accommodating. We are so grateful for our time in this home, and are already scheming ways to make a return possible! Thanks so much! We would defiantly recommend bishops ridge. Thanks again Katie. Keep up the good work :)
We loved the home and bunkhouse, this was perfect for a large group. We went for hikes, played snow football, and had a little slice of heaven in a winter wonderland.
