Ocean View is the perfect Cornish cottage in a beautiful fishing village. Sit in full sun on the terrace to the front of the property with a good read or the morning papers. You can relax in the light filled "conservatory" dining area of the kitchen and watch the world go by with a morning cup of coffee or glass of wine later in the day.
Portloe is one of those quintessential little Cornish fishing villages, beautifully positioned around a stunning little cove and harbour. Like many such villages, smuggling played a large part in Portloe's history with many tales of cat and mouse games played between locals and the authorities! In 1824, the problem became so bad that Customs ordered the construction of a Watch House, boathouse and slipway in a vain attempt to deter the illicit trade.
Ground Floor: The front door leads into a conservatory / dining / kitchen area with sea views, fully fitted units, a door leads to a small utility area with combined washing machine and tumble dryer and a dishwasher. Further door leads into the lounge area with an open fire and flat screen TV. Family bathroom (bath with handheld shower) and separate shower, WC and hand basin. Stairs from living room lead to:
First Floor: Small landing with doors to the main bedroom with 4'6" double bed, storage and sea views and door to twin bedroom with storage, separate wash basin and also with sea views;
Exterior: South facing patio area with chairs and tables and magnificent sea views.
Facilities & Services
Heating is via electric on demand heaters and also the open fire (1 bag of logs provided). The kitchen has a range of equipment. There is an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, a microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge / freezer. The sitting room area has a flat screen digital TV & DVD player. There is an iron & ironing board. WiFi is available at the property. There is a combined washing machine and tumble drier.
Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. This is a dog friendly property and a maximum of 2 dogs may stay at a small additional charge of £25 per week, please note that dogs are not to be left unattended in the property. Parking is 100m away in the main village car park (charges apply).

Low occupancy discounts are available outside the peak season for a couple staying for 7 days and using one bedroom only.
