PLEASE DON'T GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY MORE OF YOUR MONEY AND BOOK DIRECT

Completely renovated old fisherman's home in the downtown historic Battery. This 3 bedroom bungalow offers amazing views of the city and St. John's harbor. Enjoy the 21 x 13 deck and watch the icebergs float through "The Narrows", or watch a cruise ship pull right up in front of you. Minutes from the famous signal hill hiking trail and all the amenities downtown has to offer

The 3 bedrooms are fitted with 2 king beds and a bunk bed (with double on the bottom ). High end mattresses with luxury linens ensure a quality sleep. Top floor master has a 2 piece bath, while 2 downstairs bedrooms share the main bathroom.

The house is equipped with: stainless steel appliances, washer /dryer, air conditioner. 4 flat screen TV's and surround sound with speakers out on deck.

Come and enjoy your piece of paradise on "the rock", beautiful at any time of year.

Exceeding all expectations

It was a pleasure communicating with Anthony throughout the rental process. He is very thorough describing what to expect and also providing a detailed welcome sheet to answer any questions regarding use of the internet, tv, stereo system, and more.

The home is a beauty with an iconic view of the harbour. It was a treat and pleasure spending time on the balcony overlooking the harbour. Ample seating, bedding and space was comfortable for our party of 6 adults. Clean, fully furnished, and warm decor made the rental feel like a home base. All mattresses were notably very comfortable, and the king size beds luxurious. The shower was also excellent with good pressure and temperature. Fully updated kitchen was utilised for several meals.

The location is so ideal, being a 15-20 minute walk to Water Street and George Street, and also 15 minute walk to signal hill. It is a very safe and iconic area of St. John's.

We feel we truly lucked out with this rental!

Top Battery Abode

This is a lovely well appointed place in an idyllic setting. The owner has thought of everything to make one's stay comfortable. I rented the place to accommodate six unrelated visiting artists and everyone had a great time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or to request to rent the place again.

Fabulous house fabulous locarion

Very well equipped home with wonderful view of St John's harbour. Beautifully decorated, comfortable king sized beds. No street noise. Close to signal hill. Nearby is battery cafe(excellent expresso), great restaurant (Gracie Joe), delicious Indian/Pakistani food, and Belbins which is the worlds best grocery store. All within a 4 minute walk.

Great home - Great View

Group of 7 guys in St John's for the George Street Festival. House was great, in good condition. Everything you need is there. Amazing view overlooking the harbour. At the base of signal hill (great little hike). About a 20 minute walk to George street.

The owner is great to deal with. Very professional.

One of the best views of the harbour you will get. Everything you need is in the house and the patio is great to hang out and look out at the water. Also a short walk to signal hill. A must book if you can get it!

Great Time in St. John's

Two colleagues and I traveled to St. John's to receive our Master's degrees from Memorial University and wanted to celebrate our accomplishment in a special way. We rented Anthony's place and it was perfect! We had great weather for that time of year (sunny and 13 degrees) and enjoyed three evenings in a row sitting on the deck sharing a bottle of wine (or two) as we looked at the scenic narrows to our left and the happenings of the working harbour straight ahead. It was just the coolest location to have a place. Many times I'd just go out onto the deck to drink in the scene.

The house is also located right at the bottom of Signal Hill and the scenery as you make your way to the top is breathtaking. The trail started right at the end of our road and it is a MUST DO for visitors. The path up leads through peoples yards and across their decks and they are quite fine with it! (Love the Newfoundlanders - such friendly people). The streets are very narrow and hilly so we ended up backing down to Anthony's place and there was lots of room to park the SUV we had rented. (There is room to turn around if you drive straight down but its snug).

The house was very clean with three bedrooms and we all raved about the beds. They were luxurious and we all had the best sleep while there. The two bathrooms were great - one in the master upstairs was a two piece, and the one in the basement had been recently renovated and was beautiful - and had a great shower. The kitchen and living room were welcoming spaces too, but honestly we spent a lot of time outside.

It was about a 20 minute walk to George Street but it was always enjoyable walking along the harbour. Lots of great places to eat and couple of breakfast places just up the street along with a cute little grocery store. If you are looking for wine or beer ask directions to the Dominion Store (a five minute walk).

We loved this place and would come back again. You felt like you were a part of the city overlooking the harbour with the St. John's skyline in the background.
