Overall this house is exactly as described . Clean , spacious , well maintained , well stocked with practically everything you need to feel right at home. The swimming pool was very nice , the landscaping was exactly what you would expect to find . We felt right at home here . For the price , I don't think you could go wrong. The only negative thing I could say about the property (and I think this is a problem for this area) is the water condition. They have a sulfer issue that could be very easily fixed with the right filtration system. The water is clean , but stank . Not a deal breaker but is an issue . Other than that we were very happy with our stay in Venice! No issues with booking either , response was fast with absolutely no problems!!
Anyone planning a stay in Venice would probably love this place!
This home is worth returning to. Unless you happen on a cancellation or are looking for a low season rental it is not likely to be available. Clean, updated, well furnished and well taken care of. Much of our time was spent in the screened pool/lanai area. In April the pool was warm enough (76 degrees) to venture into on a daily basis. It is long enough to do short laps or lay about in the many floating toys provided. We sampled numerous beaches in the area and were particularly fond of the one available by the private ferry. A ferry pass was included with the rental and it is located only a mile away. South Venice is not as upscale as "the island" part of Venice but makes for an ideal vacation spot.
The House was easy to find, very close to all your shopping needs, beaches, etc. The inside was very spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. Pool wasn't heated, and this time of year only allowed for a quick dip. Neighbors and Neighborhood were great. The private beach, using the ferry was great, just have to remember when the captain shuts down the beach for storms, wind, or just time to leave, you have no choice in staying.. However, the public beaches are a few miles away either direction, with no time limits. We really enjoyed our stay.. Food- Robby's Reef, and affordable good food Left Coast Seafood..
For my birthday, I treated myself to a vacation with my two grandchildren ages 11 and 13. This house appealed to me first because of the pool and second because it is in a residential neighborhood. We had an awesome time. The house is very nice, the pool is extremely clean and refreshing. We loved swimming at night! The pool is screened in so it made night time very enjoyable. It was very relaxing to have a private pool and be able to keep an eye on my grandchildren from any part of the house. We went to 3 different beaches (including access to a private beach via a ferry ride) which were minutes away and spent the 4th of July at Sharkeys on the pier and then stayed for the fireworks. The house has lots of beach chairs and towels. There are several beautiful parks and the house also had bikes for the kids the ride in the neighborhood. Shopping and eating out is no problem. Plenty of both just a few minutes drive away. The house is decorated in cool beachy colors, and the beds are very comfortable. The delight of my grandson were bunk beds tucked away in a private spot. He said it was like being on a boat. We will never rent another hotel room again for vacation.
We were down for my brothers wedding and stayed at this cute house in Venice! It truly was lovely. The house had everything you could think of (except a cork screw- but don't worry we left one there!). Honestly, my husband and I are all about cooking at home and the kitchen had every gadget and helpful item you could imagine. The beds were great, pool was fabulous to have, it's very close to the ferry for the private beaches. We had a lovely time. I will mention too that my father that is handicapped/disabled came to stay the day one of the days and he had an easy time getting around, and there is a support rail in one of the showers.
My family and I recently spent our Spring Break in Venice. This house was ideal for our needs. It is clean and well-kept. The rooms are spacious. The kitchen is updated and well-equipped, which was great for us because we wanted to avoid eating out for every meal. We used the grill a couple of times, too, and really enjoyed eating together on the fully furnished lanai. The pool was a little chilly because of the cool early April weather, but our 10 and 8-year-olds braved it and had a blast.
I can't say enough about the convenient central location of the home. We spent most days at the private neighborhood beach, but had no trouble finding several other local beaches, including Venice Beach, Caspersen, and Manasota Key. Each of these are a short drive from the house, and we liked checking them out. We caught the sunset at Venice Beach a couple of times, and while we preferred the quiet and secluded atmosphere of the private beach, it was fun going downtown, too. There was live music on the beach every time we went, and the sunsets were breathtaking.
We had an amazing, relaxing vacation in Venice. We are already wishing we could go back! When we do, we will certainly want to stay in this house again.
