Perfect Loft Getaway in downtown Bristol

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Garden Loft was perfect. The bright but cozy one room studio has everything you need and plenty of space for a couple looking to enjoy a weekend getaway. This carriage house apartment and the (separate) beautiful main house are right on Hope Street, the main street in town. Countless shops and our favorite, the BeeHive Cafe, are within immediate walking distance.

The apartment itself is very private, clean, and well-appointed. The main living area is a large room with couch, chair, bed, and tables. In one part of the room, there is a kitchen with mini-fridge and a cooktop. There's a rear deck attached and plenty of natural light. Perfect for a fall getaway for a couple.

Four years ago we stayed in a hotel in Bristol, but this was a much more pleasant and comfortable stay. After only one night, we felt as if it was our own little home in the town. If you're looking at similar VRBOs for just a few people, I would recommend the Garden Loft!

Perfect Accommodations

  • 5 of 5

You can't go wrong with The Garden Loft. The place was very clean and fully stocked. We stayed for a full month and had plenty of room to relax and prepare a quick meal. The property is maticulously landscaped which you can overlook sitting on the loft's outside deck. Mary and Chuck were friendly without being intrusive and the few times we needed something, Mary responded immediately. The location is perfect surrounded by wonderful restaurants and marinas and Colt State Park. As said before, you can't go wrong with The Garden Loft.

Comfortable and relaxing stay in Bristol

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in Bristol during a working holiday where I needed a place to write, but I also wanted to be close to water and good food. I found that. The description of the property was a bit understated: the amenities were of the highest quality, the apartment was spotless and the gardens were coming into their spring beauty. I enjoyed morning coffee on the deck looking over the gardens. Communication with Mary was clear, concise, and booking was fast and easy. I enjoyed the Bee Hive cafe for breakfast, the public library for excellent services and study tables with a view, the local oyster house, and the Colt State Park. I only stayed two days and I would love to come back and explore more of the area and stay at the garden apartment. I real treat!

A treasure!

  • 5 of 5

An absolutely lovey place; and this was during the winter season when all her gardens were still asleep!

They will bloom in spring and summer and add 'magnificent' to any warm weather review!

A gracious and considerate host. I can hardly wait to visit Bristol and stay here again!

Cozy and Clean - Perfect Vacation Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Our trip to Bristol Rhode Island was the best getaway. The Garden Loft was so clean, very comfortable, and the perfect retreat. Our favorite spot after a day of walking through town, touring the area (the famous cliff walks are about 30 minutes away) or going to the beach was sitting on the back private porch. Mary was very accommodating but also gave us our privacy which we appreciated. The town of Bristol is so warm and welcoming, they go out of their way to take special care of their visitors - we have never been to an area where traffic stops to let pedestrians cross - even if the cars don't have a stop sign. If you get a chance to visit Bristol, we highly recommend the Garden Loft!! ...along with the Daily Scoops, Aidan's, Beehive Cafe, and Colt State Park. You won't be disappointed! (One note - this is a place to detach - there is internet but it's not fast- we found it made us focus more on the vacation and less on work emails). Thank you Mary! We appreciate your hospitality and your cozy haven in the center of Bristol.
