Why The Owner chose Paphos

Paphos is a delightful holiday location. Wonderful climate with guaranteed sun.

I've been visiting for many years and, whilst I have been all round the island, Paphos is by far my favourite part.

Brits will love the area as everyone speaks english, they use the same electric plugs as us and even drive on the same side of the road!

I have always preferred the Tombs of the Kings area and this is particularly where I wanted to buy an appartment. Whilst it is walking distance from the harbour and the livelier tourist area, it is sufficiently removed from it to be quiet. There are numerous bars and restaurants a few hundred yards from the property so you don't have to go down to the tourist area to eat either.

Incredibly, the old town is also only a 10 to 15 minute walk in the other direction! I love to go up there for coffee in the mornings and look down over the sea below. There are many more restaurants here again and a lively market for fresh fruit, vegetables, olive oil and wine! The old town itself is a delightful labyrinth of narrow streets and small shops and tremendous fun to explore.

We wanted 2 bathrooms to go with the bedrooms as it is just more comfortable for everyone. This is actually quite rare amongst holiday appartments in paphos. We have installed a pressurised water system as well, so you get good shower pressure in both! As well as the obvious solar heating we have an immersion heater which helps if out in the winter and it is one of those very rare cloudy days.

Naturally the appartment has air conditioning with separate controls in each of the bedrooms and the living room.

What makes this apartment unique

The complex is just 10 properties sharing a nice sized communal pool with loungers. There are only 2 storeys and we are on the first (top) floor with our roof terrace, rather than someone else's appartment, above us.

The roof terrace is the full size of the appartment itself and kitted out with lovely furniture. It is accessed by an extra wide spiral staircase we had installed from right outside the front door, which is at the top of it's own private set of steps. There are great views from up here including the sea and of course due to the size of the terrace you can be in the sun wherever it is in the sky.

Internet is included free of charge.

There are books and dvds in the appartment, please help yourself and feel free to add to our collection.

As mentioned above there is a pushbike available and 2 sets of golf clubs so you don't need to travel with these either.
