The price is £12 for 24 hours. Q-Park OMNI, Edinburgh, EH1 3AN The car park is close to both properties and also many facilities such as the OMNI Centre, St James Shopping Centre and the Edinburgh Playhouse. The price is £18.50 for 24 hours. St. James Car Park, Edinburgh, EH1 3WW The car park is very central and within a short walk of both properties. The price is £15.20 for 24 hours. parkonmydrive.com Previous guests have rented a parking space via sites such as parkonmydrive.com. Free Parking As you leave town, the parking becomes free. The closest streets that have free parking are off Leith Walk such as Albert Street, Buchanan Street, Iona Street, Dalmeny Street.

Great location in Edinburgh!!!

This vacation home is lovely and very well equipped with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay in Edinburgh. The owner has thought of everything!

Not being very technologically savvy however, we would have appreciated very detailed instructions on how to operate the washer, dryer combination.

Location, location, location

This is in the most perfect location. The train station is very close as well as the Royal Mile. However, the neighbor is a smoker and we could smell the smoke in the apt. The washer/dryer and TV could use some updated instructions. At the end of the day it is exactly as advertised. Nice decor and central location.

Location is the best!

We stayed at the apartment for one week in April. The location is fantastic. It’s a 5 minute walk from the train station (closer once you know the back way). The key/door instructions were very easy. The apartment was just like the pictures. Very clean. Nice bathroom. Had the basic stuff in the kitchen. Bedroom has a nice size walk in closet. Living room furniture, while pretty, could be a little more comfortable (especially the chair). The “info” binder said we were to help ourselves to the shortbread but none had been left for us.

What we really missed is some basic instructions on how to operate everything. No instructions for the all-in-one washer/dryer. (We don’t have this type of appliance in North America so it would be nice just to have something that says what the quickest cycle is, etc.) Also, nothing for the TV. The last occupants left it on radio mode so it was kinda screwed up and it took us awhile to figure it out. There were dvd’s but no DVD player that we could see. We did not use the stove, cooktop, or dishwasher. We’ve been in rentals where they have a guest book that renters can leave ideas for restaurants or sight seeing, which would have been helpful.

Main problem while we were there is the construction across the street (from the bedroom window). A whole city block has been torn down and dug out. The jack hammers, trucks, equipment, cranes all started at 7:30 am. The road is gone and there is only a sidewalk. This is not the apartment owners fault (obviously) but I think the renters should be warned.

I emailed the manager once and she was very quick with a reply. There was a phone number to contact her if needed but making phone calls from a Canadian cell phone costs a fortune so not something I wanted to do.

All in all I would stay here again and I would recommend the apartment to anyone. Just a few more instructions for appliances (including the mood lighting) and a better list of restaurants and sights nearby, and I would gladly give this place 5 stars. .

Well located, beautifully decorated apartment.

The apartment is very well located and has everything you need. The interior design of the apartment is charming and beautifully done. You can easily walk to the castle, museums and lots of restaurants. The train station is only a couple minutes away as are bus stops.

We were able to get supplies at a couple grocers nearby and have breakfast in the apartment every morning which made for a relaxed stay. Maria-Claire responded right away when we had a problem getting the TV to work (turn the box to the left of the TV on with it's remote, then use the TV remote and set source to HDMI1). Don't be alarmed by the construction across the street, you will not hear a thing inside the apartment. When you get to the door on the street, there are 4 lock boxes on the left, you want the black one. Unlock the front door, go through a second entry door and up one flight of stairs then go to the left and through a door marked 3/4, the apartment door will be in front of you. It's a lovely apartment.

Perfect Apartment In The Most Ideal Location

My wife and I stayed at Melanie's wonderful apartment for 5 nights late March and early April. It was "perfect in every way". We both felt like we were in our own home throughout our stay.

All amenities were as described and more. The bed was terrific and the rest of the apartment charming. Best of all, the location couldn't have been better. We could walk to all of the sights, (Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood, Royal Mile, Prince Street, Leith, Restaurants and Pubs on Rose Street, Shopping on Georges Street) all within 20 minutes. Or you can easily cab it. We were also only 5 minutes from the train station for our day trip to Stirling Castle. We arrived by air at Edinburgh's Airport and took the tram to within an easy 5 minutes walk to the apartment. The manager, Marie-Claire kept up informed and up-to-date on both checking in and checking out. Everything was easy and flawless. We will return. And Edinburgh is now one of our top two favorite cities right next to Rome.

Cozy place in a great location.

The flat was just what we wanted. The fireplace was a fun touch! The bed was comfy and the couch cozy. The treats were a nice surprise (yummy too).

The place is surprisingly quiet during the evenings but the construction project across the road can be very noisy first thing in the morning. They get started at 0700 so be prepared. Once the project is completed the flat will be in an even more prime location for dining though.

Overall a very lovely place in a lovely city!
