Backbay property

  • 3 of 5

Enjoyed the view of back bay very much. Enjoyed the, almost daily, visit of the Dolphins in front of the property. Fishing was O.K. But, refreshing. House could have had a little more sprucing up, & more amenities on cable, like able to tape shows, for the amount of money they charge, per week. The cleaning charge was more than anywhere we had ever stayed before, even on the beach. Overall, our stay was peacefull, very relaxing & fun.

Best of both worlds with affordability. Bay and Beach.

  • 5 of 5

Arlan is such a gracious host, and delivered on everything that we discussed during booking, and then some. This property is somewhat of a hidden gem. A very private back yard directly on the bay. Have coffee on the deck as the sun is coming up in the morning, or walk across the street to the beach, and take in a spectacular sunset in the evening. We rented bicycles, and kayaks for the week to take advantage of this perfect location. The sidewalk in front of the home provides immediate access for bicycle traffic, walkers, and runners. Brent from Paddle Naples delivered 2 kayaks the first morning after our arrival. Easy kayak launching at the dock, whether high or low tide. This back bay area is ideal for quiet paddling, away from boat traffic, or head out to the channel for more exploring. People here are so friendly. While chatting with a gentleman having coffee in the area he offered to set up my wife and I with some of his personal fishing tackle. We caught fish right off the dock, and were able to initiate Arlan's new gas grill. What an added treat to be standing on the dock when the dolphins came up to chase and feed on the fish in the area. The beach directly across the street is very private. We were here at spring break, and we felt like we had our own private beach in this area, or we could stroll down the beach to one of the public areas for more activities. Once again, the best of both worlds. A short car ride is all it takes to find all of the needed amenities. Everything from restaurants, to shopping, groceries, boat rental, bait and tackle shops. It's all in the area. This home provided everything for some long overdue rest and relaxation for my wife and I. We were wishing the rest of the family could have made the trip, as there is easy accommodation for 6.

We will definitely consider this home again for future travel. Thank you again Arlan.

GREAT BEACH HOME IN GREAT AREA!

  • 5 of 5

This home is a great home for the money. It was VERY clean and well stocked with all the essentials, especially in the kitchen. We cooked and bbq'd A LOT! One bedroom has bunk beds, games and movies to choose from (even though you might want to bring your own as you might prefer different ones). There are fans all over the house, keeping it nice and cool. Our kids went saw dolphins and manatees in the backyard, plus did lots of fishing back there off the dock. But the best part is that the ocean and beautiful beach is directly across the street, with beach access just a few houses down - less than a 5 minute walk. It is very close to Fort Myers Beach if you want to drive there, but the beach across from this home is not crowded and was perfect. White sand and warm water. I must say the best part of the house from a mom's perspective at least was the huge table with benches for our family dinners. This is far enough away from the craziness of Fort Myers Beach but still close to shopping, restaurants, and activities like jet skiing, parasailing, kayaks, etc. Lastly, the manager was very helpful and was only a call away but not intrusive. Great choice, unless of course you want to spend a fortune!

Owner's Response: This is what the Owner & Manager of La Playa Casita are working to accomplish. Beautiful Home, with great location and does not break the bank to enjoy the best that Bonita Springs and Hickory Island offer.
