La Cabane is a lovely 150 m² house, situated in the middle of a 6 hectares terrain, with no vis-à-vis.

The property La Cabane is my little paradise where I come very often, especially during the low and medium seasons.

I rent my house, both in order to balance my budget, and also to improve the comfort of La Cabane every year, so all the tenants will be able to enjoy it, like I do.

What makes this house unique

La Cabane is a very quiet and peaceful place, with no house around, but very close to the Atlantic Ocean, dedicated for nature lovers.

When you are on one of the two terraces, you can hear the noise of the waves, especially when the tide is high. It is absolutely magic as you are completely somewhere else at this moment.

In the field around the house, you will find figue trees, olive trees, oak trees, pine trees, chestnut trees, palm trees and a bunch of savage flowers like lavand and aneth.

A barbecue is on the terrace. One 46 inches Samsung TV HD LED , connected in HDMI to a digital satellite receiver TNT HD Philipps aiming at the Astra satellite (more than 100 digital European channels). A Samsung HT-D350 Home Cinéma 5.1 of 330 Watts RMS, and a Blu-ray reader. A library of more than 50 Blu-ray DVDs is available. Great family holiday with friends

This is a lovely property and I highly recommend it. We were 2x families of 4 and found it very spacious. The kichen was fully equipped with plenty of large pots and pans to cook for 8. The terrace was very spacious and enough space outside for games or sunbathing - so much more land than we expected. It is very peaceful and only a 10 minute walk to the local beach.

There are two shops in the village where you can get your fresh bread in the morning and it is only 10 minutes drive from St Pierre D'Oleron to the supermarket. The village is perfectly situated to visit La Cotiniere and a the other beaches on the west coast, particularly La Perroche which is a lovely cove and safe to use kayaks and inflatables. If you want a bit of excitement then head for La Grande Plage, a great beach for bodyboarding and surfers - the waves are high and provide hours of fun.

The island of Oleron is a relaxing place to be with plenty of places to eat. No where is more than a 20 minute drive so it's lovely to eat out in different places. Fresh fish is in abundance and very reasonable compared to the UK!

We had such a great fortnight we felt that we'd been there longer. We would definitely return to this property in the future. Patrick (the owner) is very helpful by email or telephone should you need to contact him (and he speaks good English).

Maison spacieuse et très confortable

L'espace immense du jardin sans voisinage invite au calme et à la liberté, la mer à côté pour la baignade à portée de "main", la cotinière à deux tour de roue de vélo pour s'approvisionner directement chez les pêcheurs. Une maison conviviale très grande et très spacieuse , avec un barbecue pour les griller; un grand salon pour se prélacer, internet pour ne pas être trop isolé . Nous avons aimé

Un Bijuou

Ce fût une première à Oleron. Nous sommes tombés amoureux de cette île ainsi que ces plages et qu elle n as pas été notre surprise que la découverte de ce petit coin de paradis et son bijou La Cabane!

Cette jolie maison blanche campe en pleine nature sauvage au milieu des vignes sur un immense terrain arboré d une variété incroyable d essences diverses, son chemin d accès bordé de pins harmonieusement taillés et sa haie de lavandes odorantes avec par ci par là quelques massifs fleuris colorés, whouaaa beau à couper le souffle.

Nous cherchions des vacances au calme nous avons été conquis.

L intérieur est meublé avec goût et raffinement, des objets, des bibelots subtilement chinés, en font une demeure chaleureuse où il fait bon vivre.

Les deux spacieux salons baignés de lumière, leurs généreux canapés face à une cheminée ou un large écran tv, la vaste cuisine salle-à-manger ultra moderne hyper fonctionnelle où rien ne manque, les quatre belles chambres, une literie douillette, les wc et salles d eau avec fenêtres, tout est confortable et soigné.

Sans oublier les deux terrasses agréablement aménagées et judicieusement orientées de façon à satisfaire nos envies d ombre ou de soleil.

A vélo, ou à pied 7 minutes seulement, pour rejoindre la plage la plus proche. À proximité également les divers petits marchés villageois offrent un éventail de leurs produits locaux.

Notre bémol, devoir repartir !!! Mais pour sûr y revenir !!!

Super extramidable

Un ïlot de plaisir à l'Ileau. Un séjour parfait.

La plage à pied.

L'île à vélo (ils nous attendaient !).

Une fois goutés les plaisirs de l'île, retour à la jolie maison dans le joli "jardin".

A la Cabane, tout est possible, jouer, partager, s'isoler, se détendre, cuisiner tout est disponible....Si bien que c'était trop court, nous reviendrons c'est sur !!!

Maison idéale pour se retrouver en famille!

Maison accueillante, tout autant que les gardiens Catherine et Henri! On s'y sent bien et le plus difficile est de repartir. Beaucoup d'équipements neufs ou de qualité. Belle décoration. C'est bien plus spacieux que ce que suggèrent les photos. Surtout le salon et sa grande cheminée (Et cette merveilleuse odeur de bois!). Il y a plus de vaisselle que dans ma cuisine: largement de quoi envisager des rencontres ou fêtes en famille. Nous avons pu profiter des vélos, des terrasses et du barbecue, et surtout du calme du grand parc aménagé. Un vrai coup de coeur! C'est une adresse que nous gardons précieusement : la meilleure location que nous avons testé en 30 ans de voyage.
