We supply a FREE welcome pack in all our gites on arrival.

Secluded from the main house with private entrance and sun terrace overlooking the pool the Apartement Ruisseau has plenty of charm and original features, combined with modern necessities. Relax in the spacious lounge or slip out for a quick dip in the pool..........

Apartement Ruisseau is centrally heated and is strictly non-smoking. There is room for a child's cot (which we can provide) and we can also provide a high chair if necessary.

Apartement Ruisseau with its two bedrooms is the ideal accommodation for a family or two couples.

Apartment Ruisseau has been carefully planned to make our clients feel relaxed and stress free whilst accommodating the needs of all four people to the highest of standards. The downstairs of the property has an open plan living/eating area (27sq.m) fitted with freeview television, and a DVD player.

The recently fitted kitchen includes dishwasher, electric cooker/hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. It has been fitted to highest standard for your comfort and convenience.

The two double bedrooms are airy and cool and light. The main bedroom (17sq.m) contains a double bed, plenty of storage space and individual balcony. The second bedroom (10.5sq.m) is equipped with twin beds.

Apartement Ruisseau is adjacent to the main residence. It retains complete privacy from the main building with its own private entrance to the rear of the property, overlooking the swimming pool and terrace area. The swimming pool is 9 x 5 mts complete with security alarm. The property is not suitable for those with wheelchairs. And sorry no dogs as the owners have a cat.

The property is provided with patio tables and chairs for all the gites; they are located on the terrace pool area and in the garden to ensure sun all day and early evening, it's ideal for eating breakfast, lunch and dinner outside. Sun loungers and umbrellas are also provided for the garden and the pool area. Each of the gites is equipped with a barbecue and tools for 'al fresco' dining.

The gites have their own parking area.

Our gite is family friendly where you can be sure of first class hospitality and a warm welcome from the owners who strive to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. A welcome pack is included on arrival. All towels, bedlinen and pool towels are provided. Access to Internet is provided through site-wide Wi-Fi. Should you wish to have a mid-stay clean please let us know and we can provide further details. Bikes are available with table tennis and badmington, with an area for ball games.

About Ian and Val

Ian and Val both met in the South of France 21 years ago and after living back in the UK and having two children, decided to leave the corporate life behind them to settle in this beautiful area of the Charente, the first region of the Grande Champagne with miles of vineyards and sunflower fields.

Maison du Ruisseau is a beautiful restored Charentaise house dating back to 1838 with a beautifully matured open courtyard garden of wild flowers, lavender, wisteria, jasmine, honeysuckle and a beautiful fig tree.

We took over this business of 3 gites, each with it's quality, charentaise style and individuality, and to increase it's popularity as a home away from home in one of the most beautiful regions of France.

Why Ian and Val chose Malaville

This property and our two other properties are equipped to a very high standard, but most of all, we are very proud of the quality of each of our gites and how we look them and after our guests. We want you to feel at home and offer a welcome pack of essentials on arrival including a good bottle of local wine. Nothing is too much trouble. Many other gites we feel do not come up to this standard.

So come stay with us in these beautiful gites in the Chateauneuf sur Charente area, near Cognac and Angouleme, all private and secluded within the premises with a shared swimming pool. .

Excellent access from Bordeaux airport and other regional airports nearby. Many local good restaurants and not far from the coast in Royan.

What makes this apartment unique

Maison du Ruisseau is "a real get away from it all location" set in the heart of the Charente. Originally a farmhouse built in 1838, it has been tastefully and lovingly restored by the previous owners maintaining many of the character features of the region and equipped to the highest standard. The 3 gites may be rented individually or as one unit. It is set within a very pretty walled garden with complete privacy. Each property has its own individual style complete with its own terrace. The swimming pool is to the rear of the property and is fitted with a safety alarm in accordance with French law. The Charente is a beautiful unspoilt area of France, set in the heart of the Cognac vineyard region. It is an excellent location to access many of the local towns and surrounding areas. The landscape is rich and varied with acres of sunflowers and vines. Cognac is 30 min. drive where you can visit many of the famous distilleries. Or, the picturesque vineyards of St Emilion which are a pleasant hours drive away. There is also the picturesque town of Angouleme with its impressive views and lots of shops in its historic centre.

The rooms are centrally heated and lead out onto the open landing that takes you out onto it's own private balcony that looks over the pool.

Memorable Christmas break

We stayed at Maison du Ruisseau for a week which included Christmas day.

The Gite was exactly as described on the website. It is very well equipped, clean and well-maintained. Ian and Val are wonderful attentive hosts who made us feel very welcome. We had a wonderful Christmas in this lovely, homely Gite.

+ Full payment is required 8 weeks before your arrival
+ A returnable security deposit of £200 is required with your final payment and will be returned to you within 2 weeks of the end of your holiday.
+ A small cash charge for cleaning is required of 40 euros at the end of your stay before departure.

+ You must make you own arrangements for holiday insurance
