A couple of standout reviews that can be found on our listing:

"This is an absolutely gorgeous home in a lovely, artistic neighborhood. Plenty of room to spread out, large open spaces and quiet bedrooms with VERY comfortable beds and bedding. The kitchen is wisely stocked, the bathrooms are luxurious, and the rooftop's 360' view is icing on the cake. We walked and explored and ate and shopped our merry way through the bohemian streets each day, fully satisfied and entertained. The transaction itself was seamless, easy, and worry-free. Thank you, Caleb and Catie, for a truly spectacular Portland experience!"

"The photos barely do this house justice. The space was so airy and comfortable (+ clean + organized!) Our hosts were incredibly accommodating and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. The location was in walking distance to some really great restaurants and cafes (all included on a detailed map of recommendations by Caleb + Catie). We took full advantage of the rooftop deck for coffee each morning and even brought pizza and salads back for dinner one night. The proximity to the airport was important because we were each arriving and departing at different times/days over our 5-day stay. The cab ride from the airport was about $20. We also had a rental car to get around the city, to spend a day hiking around Mt. Hood, and to visit some vineyards in Willamette Valley. We will absolutely recommend Villa Concordia to any friends and family who visit Portland -- and hopefully we will be back!"

About Catie Aring

Caleb and I come from Ohio. So sure, we love Ohio - but love the PNW more. We are thankful that we now call Portland our home.

For fun - we hike A LOT, spending good time in the forests with our dog around Mt Hood, in the Gorge, or on the coast. I enjoy practicing yoga and am a certified yoga teacher. Caleb plays and loves ice hockey.

We aim to be super considerate and delightful guests when we rent and to provide a clean, rad home when we host.

Get out here and visit this amazing city and region!

Why Catie Aring chose Portland

Because it's amazing!! It really is a beautiful and special home. We enjoy using and improving it. Also we live very close by making it easy to take care of and interact or assist with our guests.

I liked this property but I have some reservations about recommending it

  • 3 of 5

I liked our stay at this property. They were 9 of us, 4 couples and one single person. 4 bedrooms and only two bathrooms didn't work that well for us, when specially one of the bathrooms is located inside the main bedroom and upstairs, not available to others in the first floor. Where this house is located is really the nicest house in the neighborhood, all others are pretty old and the street where this house is located is pretty narrow. The neighborhood is close to a downtown and you can get anything you want basically by walking so that is very nice.

We were asked by the owner about the nature of our visit and where we came from and our professions, before them committing to rent. I put this out there just as a warning.

Owner's Response: We are glad that you liked your stay! However we wanted to address some of the reservations you brought up. NE Portland is a great neighborhood, we live here ourselves :) The street width is typical of any street in the city. Also the surrounding homes are lovely in our opinion and reflect the true culture, originality and diversity of our city. Our home is neither older or newer than those on our street, though it maybe taller ;) If newness is what you're after, you may want to try the Pearl condo district downtown upon return. There is indeed one bathroom on each of the 2 floors, which is also typical of a two story home. We do clearly advertise the reverse style floor plan on our listing. We agree adding a third bathroom would be ideal, if that were possible. Lastly we do absolutely ask all guests to tell us the nature of their stay and to give brief details of their group if they don't initially provide it. Most people send that information up front, but you hadn't so the request was made. We never ask (and did not in your case) for profession or deep details but bc we love our home, our neighbors and bc our rental permit prevents us from renting to party-style groups we always ask for more information to ensure it's a good fit. If that offended you, we are truely sorry. Thanks again for staying with us.

This house was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

I booked this house for our Executive staff that was doing an offsite nearby. My only mistake was not trying to do the offsite here! Beautiful, spacious, with everything you could possibly need for a big or small group. Neighborhood was great. Great Portland vibe.

Perfection, in every possible way!!

  • 5 of 5

Love everything about this house, we had a wonderful time and Catie could not have been nicer and accommodating. I've stayed in several "home aways" and this is one of the very best experiences. Beautiful home, well equipped with everything, super clean, and beautifully decorated! If we come back to Portland this summer, we will be renting this house again so we can enjoy the amazing roof top space! Thank you so much Catie, it was a pleasure staying here and having you as our host. :-)

Beautiful; clean; safe; great amenities! PERFECT location for a Portland gathering!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at The Portland Villa. It was a perfect neighborhood for our gathering with great shopping, food, and bars all nearby. We were close to public transportation which was easy to navigate. We LOVED the property - it was safe, spacious, clean, and well cared for. The amenities were spot-on. The owners were great communicators and made our stay a wonderful experience! Many of us would like to visit Portland again and would stay at this property another time!

Large cozy, spacious home; centrally located from everything

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Portland Villa put the icing on the cake for our Sibling Reunion!! We had decided to pick a place where none of us had visited and Portland came easily to the top of the list. The seven of us came from all across the US from the East Coast, to the Mid West to the Western desert. When we arrived at the Villa we were immediately impressed with the quaint older homes in the neighborhood and then we opened the front door--spacious entryway leading to three great bedrooms and a bathroom and laundry room; upstairs we found a fantastic large living/dining room and another great bedroom and bathroom! Up the next set of stairs took us to a wonderful roof top deck! The view was amazing! Unfortunately, due to rainy weather we were unable to spend much time on the roof!! Maybe next time!!! Exploring the kitchen we found it was equipped with all the essentials plus coffee, sugars, spices and even a jar of fantastic jelly! The farm style table accommodated all of us easily for our home cooked dinners and long nights of playing cards!! We enjoyed the comfortable living room for kicking back and watching football or movies on the large TV! The wonderful windows in the room let in so much natural light and amazing evening breezes! The Villa is centrally located to not only Alberta Street, but also to the airport, downtown Portland and the coast! We enjoyed walking up and down Alberta Street finding all the amazing eateries and shops! Our daily adventures took us to Portland where we shopped, visited museums, the Japanese Tea Gardens, the food trucks, VooDoo Donuts, breweries, wineries and of course the Saturday Market! Our trip to the coast was amazing and we loved the small towns and we even found a fun restaurant called Camp 18 in Bigfoot country!!! When we returned to our "home" after a full day of adventures, it was so nice to relax, have a glass of wine and catch up on family stories! Staying at the Portland Villa made our reunion even more special!! Our host, Catie was so easy to work with and the home was clean and equipped with all the comforts of home!! Thank you for everything!! We all look forward to sharing this home again in the future!!
