Located in quiet Harbour Key, we have one of Harbor Island's most secluded locations. The beach is a pleasant 5 minute ride in our two golf carts, or n3 minutes by car, and along the way you will pass salt marshes and rookeries abundant with bird life. Harbour Key is especially good for your children. It is gated so they can ride bikes, run and play safely. Our back yard is very private and is perfect for family fun. We are located on a beautiful lagoon and we overlook an expansive marshland and salt pan; the views are breathtaking in every direction! Sunsets on Harbor Island often encompass the east as well as the west, so you can enjoy them from any of our three decks. For 2016 we have added windows and new windowed garage doors and front door to brighten the ground floor. New UV and light blocking curtains have been added to the bedrooms and living room. THE 6 1/2' X 31' REAR PORCH IS NOW SCREENED FOR YOUR INSECT-FREE ENJOYMENT!

Our home was new to the rental market and completely re-furnished as of 2015. There are two master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Both masters have new queen beds. Sliders open onto balconies with plenty of comfortable outdoor seating. The other two bedrooms are both beautifully decorated; one with a double bed, the other with two twins. We use high quality linens and towels, and provide starter soaps and paper goods for your convenience. Front load washer and dryer are on the first floor convenient to the bedrooms. The house has a reverse floor plan with three of the bedrooms on the first floor. The main living area is on the second floor and allows amazing views in all directions. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and granite counters; new SS dishwasher and refrigerator in 2017. Every room has a large ceiling fan for your comfort.

Quality dinnerware, cookware and kitchen supplies are so important for those who want to eat in, and we've worked hard to make sure your kitchen is well appointed. There is also a gas grill with all of the tools. There is seating for 8 at the dining room table and 4 at the breakfast nook. The living room has a new 42” flat screen HDTV with cable and Roku, and the 1st floor master BR HDTV has cable and Roku as well. Wi-Fi throughout the house will assure your connection to the outside world… though you may wish to just forget all that and enjoy everything that Harbor Island has to offer. You can enjoy the many amenities of the island as well: tennis, basketball, two pools, beach volleyball and two workout rooms. We also provide 8 bikes for adults and children, as well as a couple of fishing poles and beach toys.

The beach at Harbor Island is second to none. Nearly 2 1/2 miles of gorgeous soft sand, and best of all…it is private, so it isn't crowded like the public beaches. Most of the time you can walk southeast to Johnson Creek and rarely encounter anything other than pelicans, egrets, plovers, sandpipers, and dolphins.

We will have a Hunting Island State Park pass that will allow you to experience the beauty of this wonderful natural resource just a mile or two down the road when the park is re-opened after extensive renovations and beach refurbuishment later this spring 2017.

We have rented many beach houses over the years and know what is needed to make a vacation truly enjoyable. Our Harbor Island home is furnished with care and attention to the details that matter. We’d love to share it with you and your family.

We have been traveling to St. Helena for many years and we fell in love with Harbor Island and the Low Country. We bought our home in January 2015 and are looking forward to sharing it with others during the summer and spending our winters out of the cold New England snow.

Amazing Home Spectacular Location

This was our second year at 10 Key West Dr and we came a couple of weeks earlier than last year. What a great week. The house is perfect for our group--, 6 of us in our late 20's... friends since grammar school who like to get away from it all every year. We had plenty of space and every amenity that we could imagine; the internet is great, new appliances and kitchen ware made us feel right at home. The house is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The owners have clearly gone to great effort to make the guests comfortable. Having two golf carts is the best... so nice to ride around the island. We love the beach at harbor island and got to see baby turtles heading for the ocean. We also love Hunting Island and having the parking pass is a nice bonus.This year we tried a couple of new restaurants including Dukes Bar b que in Beaufort. All you can eat buffet...excellent! We cooked in a lot and were happy with the kitchen& dining room set up. It worked perfectly for us. No sign of the big gator this year, but we saw the smaller one quite a bit. He stays out in the rookery. This house is becoming our regular vacation spot. We will definitely be back again next year. The owners are great to work with and are helpful from the moment you contact them.... Thanks Carolyn & Ken... Greg, Mike, Luke and crew!

Great home and great week!

Working with Carolyn on planning our trip was wonderful! She was very helpful and quick to respond. The house was very nice and fit our needs well. We had 3 families sharing the space and there was plenty of room for us all. The golf carts and bikes were a wonderful bonus! We would have liked to know that there was only one washcloth per person for the week so we could have brought more. Also, as mentioned on another review, we also would have liked a little more window coverage in the bedrooms to block the sunrise. The kitchen was well stocked and met our needs and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. We enjoyed having the park pass as well to get to spend a day at that beach too. The kids enjoyed the variety of wildlife found on the beach and we all enjoyed finding different wildlife daily right from the balconies of the house.

Wonderful Property ~ exactly as pictured!

Property was lovely, house is exactly as pictured ~ property was spotlessly clean when arrived. (rarely have we rented properties that did NOT need some type of cleaning upon arrival- this house was the exception) Even trash service is provided at this property- owners have thought of everything!

As all other reviews indicate, the home is very private ~ cul de sac location. Views into lagoon and marsh are beautiful- we saw many critters during our stay. The reverse layout of the home (bedrooms on lower levels with kitchen/LR on top floor) is a very cleaver approach to maximize the views. Enough rooms for everyone during our trip- no one was crowded. Many people have praised the sunrises from the bedrooms in the morning ~ my only suggestion for the owners would be to add a double rod curtain system which would allow for blackout/room darkening curtains and shears to be present. (This would allow each guest to have the option of closing the curtains to allow sleeping in a little later if they choose. When the shears are used..... no view would be blocked)

We love HI and the immediate area. Highly recommend dinner at WREN, Marsh Tacky General store for lunch.(Try the grilled donuts!) Don't forget to bring your binoculars while visiting the area ~ amazing views and birding!

A beautiful home and location!

My trip to St Helena Island was nothing short of spectacular, and staying at 10 Key West Drive was a highlight all on its own. What a beautiful home! When I first arrived I was immediately blown away by the natural beauty of the property that this home sits on. A private little lagoon area is home to beautiful birds and other various wildlife, which was so nice to wake up to each morning. The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely breathtaking and can be seen from the wonderful porches on each level of the house. Carolyn and Ken have anticipated any need you might have, from golf carts (making trips to the beach quick and convenient) to extra travel sized toiletries in the bathroom in case you forgot something of your own. The kitchen is well stocked with various spices and condiments, as well as beautiful dishes and cookware. They've truly spared no expense. I felt just as comfortable in this home as I do my own, as everything I needed to cook a beautiful meal was right at my finger tips. While I didn't use them, there are bikes for every member of the family and plenty of games for a rainy day. The entire house is spotlessly clean and in beautiful condition. I'm so glad we picked this as our rental home, and would recommend it without hesitation. I would gladly visit again!!

Heaven in Harbor Island

While Harbor Island is already a special place, this house is truly incredible! Sooooo private and the views of the ever changing tide and ROOKERY are incredibly memorable. If you want to have a quiet vacation spot to remember forever, this is it. Room and spaces for everyone in the family and the amenities of bikes and golf carts keeps you on the go. But when it's time to sit down and share stories, great common areas for the family. The ability to watch anything thanks to the ROKU had us watching Forrest Gump, of course, since the 18 year olds had never watched it. Be sure to research which scenes were shot right around Beaufort! Hunting island is a true miracle as well! This was definitely the best rental we have experienced in years. Thank you for sharing this great home! You have an amazing beach home.

Great Place to stay

Friends and I rented this place for a wedding that was being held close by. This place was the perfect place for our group (5 girls) and the golf carts that were included made it easy to get around. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
