Kim & John, Owners
I'm happy to be a native of Tennessee! The hospitality and kindness of most of our community is refreshing. My husband and I really enjoy seeing our guests making memories with special life events or just experiencing some necessary R&R.
Kimberly & John purchased this cabin in 2013
This log cabin is so nice in so many ways!
Easy to get into and easy to access also!
Newly renovated. Quiet and peaceful too! Nicely furnished with a log canopy king sized bed, log furniture throughout.
“A homey, cozy, inviting cabin great for a couple's getaway”
5 of 5 starsReviewed October 28, 2014 for a stay in October 2014
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this cabin last week for our 30th anniversary! Kimberly and John were very hospitable and easy to work with. I really didn't want to leave. The cabin has lots of trees around it and a feeling of privacy even though there are other cabins in the neighborhood. I would stay here again! :)

Would I recommend this vacation rental to my best friend? Yes.
The property was "as advertised". I recommend the location. The property was a good value for the price paid
We visited in March of 2017 and enjoyed our stay at the Honey Bear Pause.
For just a little more than the cost of a hotel room we got an entire cabin to ourselves. It had a clean and well equipped kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable. Plus we had our own hot tub. The cabin and surrounding area was well maintained. Staying here seems like a great value.
Lovely cabin with great communication with the owners. Kim called just as we arrived at the cabin to be sure we didn't have any problems getting in and was helpful in telling us where some items may be located that we had forgotten. Very clean cabin. We will stay again!
The cabin is very nice, comfortable and secluded but is just a couple minutes from the main highway. Great location, comfortable bed and nicely stocked kitchen. It had everything we needed except a corkscrew :-)
My boyfriend and I rented Honey Bear Pause for a weekend getaway. It couldn't have been more perfect for what we had in mind. Tucked away in Townsend, close to trails & Gatlinburg, but far enough to avoid tourists. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed and the check in/check out process was seamless. Could've had a little extra cobweb removal but nothing crazy. Ceilings are very high so understandable! We would definitely go back!
We stayed for 2 nighta before flying out for our honeymoon and it was perfect! Great little cabin and clean as a whistle! The bed was so comfortable and hot tub was hot and relaxing! Can't wait to come back!!
We loved the nice and Quiet setting of this cabin . Very nice and comfortable and cozy we were very happy with this cabin
