The Lake Nottely Fun Lodge is 500 ft. of lake front luxury nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Georgia. 20 minutes from Blue Ridge, GA, 20 minutes from Blairsville, GA., and 20 minutes from Murphy, NC and the Cherokee Casino. We catch 50 lb. stripers and have some of the best places to relax in the entire Southeast.
Our home is located 100 miles north of Atlanta on the shores of Lake Nottely, one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Georgia. The lake is 20 miles long with 110 miles of shoreline and is 70% National Forest making it one of the greatest relaxation stations in the Southeast.
Built in 2010, the lodge has an open post-and-beam floor plan on more than an acre with 5 bedroom and 3.5 baths and loft on 3 levels. The house, stairs, and the slope to the dock is easy to manage for all ages. We have parking for 6 vehicles and have a keyless door entry system making check in / check out very easy.
The house can sleep up to 16 which makes it ideal for family gatherings, yet intimate and affordable enough for couples. The Fun Lodge is a great destination for corporate retreats, team building adventures, fishing trips, golf groups, or family reunions.
Main level has an open floor plan and master bedroom (king) with commercial grade washer and dryer, walk-in shower and claw foot tub. The main level includes gourmet kitchen (fully equipped), huge dining room seating area (seats 12) along with a wrap around deck equipped with Adirondack chairs, 8 person hot tub, propane grill, picnic table and plenty of seating overlooking the lake.
Floor to ceiling wood burning fireplace, ceiling fans, Direct-TV in 3 rooms, wifi, Verizon wireless signal booster, telephone, and central heat/air.
The upper level has two bedrooms (both queens), full bathroom, and a reading loft with sofa sleeper converter.
The lower level has two additional bedrooms, a full bath, and huge game room with bar / kitchen area. The smaller bedroom has a queen bed and the larger room is a bunk room with 4 twins and 1 queen mattress along with two nook areas for kids to explore.
The lower level game room has a ton of activities for all ages. Air hockey, shuffle board, shuffle board bowling, pool table, foosball, movie and CD collection along with a 65" television w/ Direct-TV, with plenty of seating. The lower level also has a breakfast kitchen including sink, and a second full sized "drink" refrigerator with ice maker on the lower level with easy access to roll coolers from the basement to the boats. The cabinets are filled with games for kids and adults.
Guests have access to most water toys including noodles, tubes, canoe, paddle boards, kayaks, paddles, kids and adult life jackets with full access and use of the 2 story dock with 2nd floor lockable gate.
Mountain lakes also provide cooler summer temperatures with average highs of 84 and average lows of 62 during the "heat" of the summer and great crisp weather in the spring and fall for fishing, apple picking, or seeing the beautiful mountain colors. The lake is crystal clear and is a true enjoyment for swimming from April 15th - October 15th! Beyond that, we stick to the hot tub as lake levels also drop for rain water retention during winter months. Lake Nottely is part of the Tennessee Valley Authority and is a power generation lake that was built in 1941. The Lodge is located on northern part of the lake which is the larger party of the lake where the dam, rope swing, public beach and cliffs areas are located. Closest public boat launch is Poteete Creek - approximately 3 miles away and easy to navigate
We are less than 2 Hours from Atlanta, Chattanooga, Asheville, and Knoxville, for anyone interested in outdoor mountain adventure. Winter, Summer, Spring, or Fall, 44 Sample Drive is accommodating for all!

About Bret Almassy
We recently purchased this amazing home from the owner who built the house in 2010 from an antique barn which he imported from New England. The open construction creates an amazing floor plan and the views of the lake and mountains are second to none! We hope you enjoy this amazing lakefront mountain house as much as we do.

Absolutely amazing lake house!
This is by far the nicest house we have ever rented through VRBO or Homeaway. The owner goes out of his way to ensure you have everything you could possibly need to enjoy a long weekend with family or friends. The house is in immaculate condition and is EXTREMELY clean. There are several kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets and canoes that the owner has graciously left for his guests to use. The kitchen is fully stocked with every type of utensil you could possibly need. The beds and bedding are comfortable and CLEAN.
The house is in a great location and you could easily be in Blairsville or Blue Ridge within 15-20 minutes. There house is secluded in a cove and offers a great deal of privacy.
The owner is extremely responsive to messages. You could not ask for a nicer gentleman to rent a house from. I could go on and on about this house. I highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to have a fun and relaxing weekend with a large group of family or friends. I can only hope to return and enjoy this property again SOON!
This cabin was so fulfilling. It had everything that I was looking for. My family loved it.
This property is exquisite! It has everything you could ask for to keep you either busy or relaxed. My kids enjoyed the bunk bed room, game room and outdoor activities. The hot tub was a hit along with the lovely back deck views of the sunrise and sunset. Grilling out for dinner was awesome and making Smores out back in the fire pit was very memorable for our little ones. The kitchen was very equipped to cook all of our wonderful meals along with eating together on the great table. We can't wait to come back and do it again. A big thank you to the owners for making our trip so awesome and memorable.
Well laid out
The owner was helpful and easy to communicate with. We utilized this home for an executive retreat and it was perfect. The main level is very open and lended itself to a conversational group. The basement was the perfect hangout after hours. We had poor weather so we weren't able to utilize all of the lake toys, but we were able to sneak in a couple of camp fires. Great stay!
Perfect extended family get away
We had a very fun 5 day stay with the family. We hardly left the property as we enjoyed playing in the lake so much. Property, amenities, lake is everything it's presented as, and better. Loved that our family of 11 could sit down to dinner together, around the spacious dining table.
Be sure to check out the stars when you're around the campfire. Weather was cooler than we expected - nice.
Unforgettable family time at this house on the lake...
My family loved our vacation at this amazing house on lake Nottely, and all of us felt that one week of this pure joy was not enough time to enjoy, and if we could we would definitely stay for another week. This is one of those places that we would gladly come back to... The house is very smartly designed to take a full advantage of its unique very beautiful location and overall space that combines comfort, decor, and functionally. Our family (my husband and I, our two sons, two daughters - in - law, and 3 grandchildren), had very comfortable accommodations with private bath on each of the 3 levels. The main level has a great room with a huge window wall overlooking the lake and beautiful landscape around the house. An open kitchen makes cooking easy and fun (I've never felt isolated or tired), there are many seating areas suitable for a large family and a large dining table, as well as huge wrap around deck (and patio) with numerous lounging chairs. The most generous gesture of our hosts was to make their substantial fleet of boats (some of which were truly exceptional) available for their guests. Obviously we've spent most of our time on the lake, even at night, under the bright stars shining on a very dark (no pollution and no large city' lights anywhere close!) on the velvet sky by the campfire, playing guitars an singing our favorite songs. Our grandchildren (7 and 5) became fearless swimmers and learned to jump form the 8' platform into the lake. Our children made one short trip to Ashville NC leaving grandchildren with us for 1.5 days (that seemed like a good idea since it' was not practical to have that tour from New York, and they really wanted to see Ashville), but they admitted that almost as soon as they got to Ashville they missed the hose on the lake... We have also explored the Blue Ridge area (gorgeous views!) and went to see the Anna Ruby Falls and Brasstown Bald Mountain, both attractions are very impressive.
Bret was a very attentive host, responsible, accessible, quickly taking care of some minor issues that we had. At the end my husband and I found it difficult to leave this house on the lake were we had such a happy family time and developed wonderful memories...
Too Much Fun for Just One Week
I can't write enough good things about our week in this epic house. Everything was just as pictured. The property was amazing and there are plenty of fun things to do not far away.
We came for the 2017 eclipse and had magnificent views from the deck on top of the dock. We enjoyed our coffee every morning on the wrap around deck on the house as we watched the morning mist give way to sunny weather.
I lack the words to describe how relaxing and enjoyable our stay was. It felt like I had never taken a vacation in my life before. I was so relaxed when we left I could scarcely remember what it was like to go to work every day.

The Fighting Town Tavern, 511 East Main Street, Blue Ridge
Our favorite restaurant in the area with indoor and outdoor seating. Owners Jim and Rhonda moved from Atlanta a year ago and opened a mountain rock and roll bar with a great selections of craft beers, whiskeys, and bourbon. Billiards, shuffle board, and darts. Kids are welcome but can not play the games.
