Villa Buena Vista offering elegance simplicity and understated luxury meets sea view living in the traditional Andalucian town of La Cala de Mijas. True to its name, this recently transformed villa boasts fantastic sea views from all the terraces and from all 4 generously sized bedrooms.

The panoramic south facing location is 700 meters from La Cala beach. The old town of La Cala with all its bars, restaurants and amenities is walking distance or maximum 5 minutes drive away.

The different terraces invite you to enjoy the amazing vista's throughout the day and evening:

• watching the sun rise over the tree covered hillside whilst enjoying a nice cup of coffee/tea or maybe enjoying some morning Yoga.

• making the most of the fantastic weather at the pool side terrace. The pool, the sun loungers, the al fresco dining spaces and barbecue area are all there to enjoy. On clear days, the outline of the Atlas mountains can be seen across the wide open sea.

• relaxing after a busy and exciting day with the family and friends in the outdoor lounge area on the second floor terrace; cooling down with a refreshing gin-tonic taking in the broad sea views.

From the main entrance leading to the spacious lounge, open plan kitchen and dining area to seat 8. From the lounge you have large glass patio doors leading onto the breakfast terrace with automatic awning, table and chairs to seat 8. External stairs will lead you to enjoy the private pool area with 4 sun loungers, umbrellas for shade, barbecue and outdoor dining area to seat 8 all to truly enjoy the captivating Vista on offer at Villa Buena Vista.

The Villa has 2 generous double bedrooms on the second floor, both with en-suite bathrooms. On the second floor you also find the side terrace for the master bedroom and the lounge terrace. Walking down to the ground floor you can find the entrance hall, American kitchen, dining and living room space. From the living room, you have access to the living room terrace and the pool, pool terrace and garden. Half a level down from the ground floor, the villa has 2 additional bedrooms, one double and one with 2 single beds. These bedrooms have a fantastic pool and sea-view. They share the bathroom.

The configuration of the bedrooms and bathrooms allows for all different kinds of holiday setup with either:

• one large family holiday, or

• 2 families sharing their holiday where each family occupy a level in the villa for some privacy, or

• a 3 generation holiday, or

• 4 couples sharing their holiday.

The villa is equipped throughout with air conditioning units for both cooling and heating, so the property can be enjoyed in comfort all year round.

Myself and my family had the pleasure of spending 2 weeks in this beautiful villa in La Cala, Mijas Costa.

The villa has been totally refurbished. The kitchen is one of the best equipped I have experienced ,and as my family love to cook we enjoyed many nights sat round the pool having a BBQ with a spectacular sea view.

Every bedroom in the villa has a sea view and is very well presented and clean. The beds are comfortable and each room has plenty of wardrobe and storage space.

We would definitely recommend this Villa, and we will be visiting again. Not only do you live in luxury,but the location is also fantastic. You can walk to a very large supermarket within 5 minutes...

Although it's a slight hill to get back up to the villa ( which obviously gives you the spectacular views ) You can also walk into La Cala and be at the beach front in 10 minutes. La Cala itself has some beautiful restaurants and bars and is a very friendly place. We have left our restaurant recommendations in the Villa for anyone who visits.

The Villa is fantastic for both families and for couples travelling away together has plenty of seating areas but also different seating areas so you can have some time alone if needed.

We THANK you for sharing your beautiful home, and look forward to it again next year.

Stunning modern villa in superb location

What's not to love ?! Stunning modern villa with every luxury. Plenty of room for a family or indeed a couple of families. Super pool with lots of outdoor space and terraces. Clients representative , Nicola made us feel very welcome and was always available for any queries. I would so recommend this property, amazing !

Villa Buena Vista is 1 km or a five minutes drive from La Cala de Mijas Village. La Cala is a quiet but vibrant village which, very unusually for this part of Spain, has no high-rise and has a village square around the Torreon or tower of the tiny fishing harbour. There is no shortage of various restaurants or bars.


The Costa del Sol may be one of Spain’s most popular tourist destinations, but you can still get a taste of traditional Andalucian life in Mijas, a mountainside village which is 25 minutes drive from the Villa. Laid-back holidaymakers head here for the whitewashed villas, cobbled streets and open-air terraces, not to mention the sweeping Mediterranean views. Here you can experience the traditional donkey taxi.


Marbella waved goodbye to its fishing village roots decades ago, now this is a Costa del Sol goliath with luxury cars and shops. The glitz factor is high on the seafront Golden Mile, which throbs with bars and clubs. But there’s a traditional side too, in the calm oasis of the old town.

Puerto Banus

Puerto Banus is Marbella’s world-famous port, right in the heart of Spain’s Costa del Sol. It’s a millionaire’s playground with beach clubs, super-yachts moored in the marina, and a long strip of bars, clubs and designer boutiques along the water. There’s another side to this firecracker of a spot, though, head away from the sea and there are quieter bars and authentic Spanish tapas.


Estepona is tucked between Marbella and Manilva on Spain’s Costa del Sol. This Andalusian town comes with whitewashed houses lining the narrow cobbled streets and a mountain backdrop. It’s got a great mix, it’s the kind of place where you get Spanish tapas and flamenco dancing alongside sophisticated shops, cocktail bars and a pretty marina. And the Blue Flag beach stacks up pretty well, too.


Sandwiched between Torremolinos and Marbella, the former fishing village of Fuengirola is now one of the Costa del Sol’s biggest players. It’s got the high-rise hotels and buzzing bars and restaurants, water park and lots of shopping! . It has all the big department and mega stores (El Corte Ingles, Carrefour, etc.). The Moorish castle adds a bit of history. The real draw, though, is the super-sized sandy beach.


Torremolinos’ next door neighbour is a gracious and well-loved resort on Spain’s Costa del Sol. It lines up modern hotel complexes and apartment blocks along the 10 kilometre seafront area called Benalmadena Costa, but also packs in plenty of Andalusian appeal in the Spanish part of town. Plenty to do and see here including Paloma Park, Selwo Marina, Tivoli World and the very famous award winning puerto marina where you can enjoy an afternoon of sailing on many of the boat trips.


It is easy to understand why Malaga City is dubbed the Capital of the Costa del Sol. Once considered the poor cousin of Andalusia’s capital city, Seville, it now competes successfully for attention, thanks to its profusion of quirky museums, delightful pedestrianised centre, innovative restaurants and stylish hotels, many featuring trendy rooftop terraces with bar, pool and stunning views.

The opening of the Picasso Museum in 2003 triggered the city's cultural rebirth, and visitors are now flocking to this port city which boasts excellent transport, top-class cuisine and fascinating monuments, from Moorish and Roman times through to modern day, while retaining its authentic Andalucian feel.

Malaga has more museums any other city in Andalucía; over 30 at last count and new ones are opening all the time. Learn about the city through its wine at the Wine Museum, its social history and customs from the collection of 19th-century paintings at the new Carmen Thyssen Museum and its famous local personalities. For more art and design delights, you can visit museums of contemporary art, archaeology or glass.


Torremolinos is a bit of a dab hand when it comes to holidays. This is one of the oldest and best-loved holiday places on the Costa del Sol, with a pedigree going back to the early Fifties. Back then, it was a haunt of Grace Kelly and Frank Sinatra. Nowadays things still revolve around the sandy beach, but there’s party nightlife and great shopping in the mix, too.


Teetering on the rocks on the southern tip of Andalusia, about 40 minutes from Malaga, is Nerja, AKA the jewel of the Costa del Sol. You’re in classic Costa territory here, with sandy beaches and an all-night bar scene. There’s tumultuous history to explore too; the centrepiece is the “Balcon de Europa”, a viewing platform that was once part of a battle-torn castle. No wonder King Alfonso XII made Nerja his holiday home back in the 1880s.

In Nerja you can visit the magnificent Nerja Caves “Cuevas de Nerja” a series of huge caverns stretching for almost five kilometres and feature amongst the top tourist attractions in Spain.

Check in time (if we have guests leaving the same day as your arrival) 1.30pm
If this is not the case and the property has no guests leaving on the day of arrival check in can be from 9.30am.
Check out time is latest 11am (If no guests arriving on the same day we can be more flexible but can not confirm this until closer to the arrival time).
All rubbish needs to be taken from the villa and placed in rubbish bins on the street before the check out.
