About Brad and Amy Bethke

My wife and I live in the cities but we met (and got married!) in Crosslake. It remains our favorite place even though we have traveled all over the world. The closer we get to "the cabin," the stress melts away. We are able to relax at the house, explore the lakes, or go and meet friends at one of the many social places on the chain. We look forward to hearing how our guests enjoy their stays.

Brad and Amy Bethke purchased this cabin in 2003

Why Brad and Amy Bethke chose Crosslake

We grew up on the Whitefish Chain with our own families. It is the perfect place to relax and create lasting memories. This area is such a great place to be, we are only putting up this property for rental because we are purchasing another property on the chain.

What makes this cabin unique

Sunset views through towering Norway Pines can be enjoyed from the swing, patio or firepit is second to none. The call of the loons on the lake will lull you to sleep at night and gently wake you up in the morning.

Wonderful cabin in an awesome location!

  • 5 of 5

Many wonderful memories made at this cabin during our week long stay in July. This cabin has so much charm and plenty of room for all. The kids loved the guest cabin for watching movies during a rainy day and the adults enjoyed the porch for playing cards while watching the sun set. This cabin was set up perfectly for rainy days, hot days and if the mesquitos were out. We had many of bonfires, grill outs, pontoon rides through the channel to Crosslake. Lots of restaurants and shops to keep busy in the morning. Golf courses close by and a nice paved road in front for walks with the family. The lake is only a few steps away for swimming. Highly recommend for anyone!

Perfect little cabin and boat combo

  • 5 of 5

I was born and raised in Minnesota, living lake and cabin life, but I now live in Oregon. My kids hear stories of going "up north" and all the times we fished, skied, made smores, etc. They wanted to have that experience, and this was the perfect cabin for me and my family. The pontoon was the huge bonus. We spent hours hitting all the great fishing spots and cruising. The fire pit was the perfect place in the evening to roast marshmallows and look at the stars.

Great cabin!!! Don't miss this one!

  • 5 of 5

Our family just spent a week at this lovely cabin on Daggett Lake. What a great find! Plenty of space, kitchen fully equipped and PONTOON BOAT. Very clean. Owners are delightful. They went above and beyond- providing tips and even letting us borrow a couple of items since we were traveling from the South. Super responsive. Thank you, Brad and Amy!

The guest house is a great addition for kids or a single adult who wants a little more privacy. Bathrooms have plenty of space- and one has a sitting bench for those that need it. We never felt cramped- essentially two living areas in the main cabin as well as large kitchen. Plenty of great seating outside too, including a swing! Grill was great- used it for burgers, brats and the like. And used the firepit for s'mores!

We spent our days exploring and fishing off the boat or dock (husband caught 11!), relaxing on the porch & planning our next meal (ha!). As mentioned, cooked every night on grill (steaks, etc.) or inside (tacos, sandwiches). Had everything we needed (I think we may have picked up olive oil, that's it)...

In the area? Check out the meat raffle :) at the Bourbon Room on Wednesdays, the tubing experience at Riverside Inn, and Manhattan Beach Lounge Tiki area (we didn't know but they have a pool anyone can use for a $5 fee- will use that next time). The produce stand on the main road has great corn and tomatoes--and Grand Champion Meats was a wonderful find as well!

Again, we had a great time and the cabin is lovely, nicely furnished and well stocked (towels for bathroom and lake, linens, kitchen items) comfortable and near EVERYTHING- and owners are GREAT!

One small con- the mattress in the guest room is hard...you may want to bring a cover if that bothers you. Also, it gets very light in there- early. If you like to sleep in and like it dark, choose one of the other bedrooms. Just personal preference.

I'm back in TN where it's almost 100 degrees-- wish I was on the pontoon boat in 72 degree weather instead! Will be back.

If you want to talk to me directly, happy to. Just ask Brad or Amy for my contact info.

Have a great vacation!

Katie, Sandy, Tom and Max

Beautiful setting! Love Dagget Lake and Whitefish chain, beautiful sunsets and cozy cabin!

  • 4 of 5

Real cabin with an updated kitchen, that was a joy to use. Went on pontoon rides every day to enjoy this beautiful setting. Fished and swam off the dock. Sat by cozy fires at night. Watched loon families drifting into the sunset and listen to their enchanting call.

Great place, great experience!

Great Escape

  • 5 of 5

Family oriented lake home! Great views! Back porch facing the lake was a winner. Pontoon is clincher. Owners communicated well when we had questions. Plenty of room in kitchen. Family of 8 enjoyed our stay. We caught a MANY Pike and Bass....some right off dock! Mattresses the only drawback. Overall an awesome experience. Thanks Brad and Amy!
