The Old Polish Home Camp, (was a famous family spot, with a dining hall, bar, and lower level was a summer camp for children) it was completely renovated and completed, in June 2015. Beautiful views of the lake, Incredible 7500 sq. ft. building with its own vineyard and, a great baseball field, 100 feet of lakefront, to enjoy fishing, boating and swimming. King size bed in each of the 4 bedrooms, plus cupola could be used for 5th bedroom, 3 bathrooms, eat in kitchen, plus dining area and formal diningroom, bar area off formal diningroom, livingroom, family room, and cupola with 12 windows with incredible views.
3 porches, 6- 8 car garage in front, 2 car garage in rear, with enough room to store small boat in lower garage, walking paths, a large pavilion, beautiful, sunrise and sunsets. Breathtaking!!! A short 10 minute ride to the lovely Village of Skaneateles, 15 minutes to Anyela's Winery. Merry-go-round (live theater) 2 miles away.
Jim and Ellen Haley, purchased the property in 2014. Ellen's parents live in the home next door, and can recommend great restarants, and golf courses.
Ellen Haley purchased this estate in 2014
Having his own baseball field was Jim's "field of dreams" .He is an avid baseball fan and coach. Ellen on the other hand was drawn to owning a beautiful vineyard, and loved the spectacular (warm water) lake, and walking paths thru the woods.
The morning sunrise over the lake is spectacular, and the sunset over the fields is simply breathtaking. We love walking thru the fields, quite often seeing deer!! The lake water is warm and truly inviting, we love to sit in a tube and float for hours.
The house has beautiful views of Owasco lake! There are plenty of rooms for a large family to enjoy. The kitchen was great and we enjoyed many family meals there. We had a great view of fireworks for the 4th of July. We had a boat and found the lake to be quiet and great for tubing and fishing. Auburn was close and shopping was easy and convenient.
Our daughter was graduating from Cornell and we needed a place where three generations of family could gather to celebrate. This house was PERFECT!
We loved the beautiful views and the spacious bedrooms and living space. The kitchen was great for preparing meals and there is a Wegmans Market just a few miles away! If cooking is not your thing the town of Auburn has plenty of options for dining. We would definitely recommend this property!
The perfect way to spend a beautiful Labor Day weekend on Owasco Lake! This place has everything from a vineyard in the front yard overlooking the lake, to several spacious bedrooms, a beautifully remodeled kitchen, living room and dining room, and huge decks on the front and back of the house that were great to relax on. We even enjoyed a glass of wine in the cupola where we could take in the spectacular view. It was only a short ride into Auburn or Skaneateles to enjoy great restaurants and shopping as well. The only thing that would have made this a better trip was being able to stay longer!
Had all our children and grandchildren in town to celebrate a Family Reunion, and could not have picked a better vacation home on beautiful Owasco Lake. This beautifully restored home was the perfect backdrop for making family memories that will last a lifetime. The finishes and furnishings are all first class and the grounds and views of the Lake are breathtaking. The Owners were wonderful to work with and helped make our experience trouble-free. The views of the Lake from the huge front porch are not to be missed!
My husband and I stayed here and just loved the place. The views are amazing. We started each morning with a steaming cup of coffee and just soaked in the scenery. The house is perfect for family vacation or couples. Great kitchen but there are also super restaurants and shopping nearby. We can't wait to go back
Beautifully furnished and newly renovated house with magnificent lake views and lake access. We planned a family reunion here as the house has a wonderful kitchen, two large eating areas and four bedrooms which afforded each family their own private sleeping arrangements. Loved having breakfast on the large porch overlooking the lake and then again in the evening visiting with family members while watching the sun set over the water. Huge yard affords families plenty of outdoor space for their children. Secondary porch in the rear of the house provides a quiet setting to read a book, enjoy morning coffee or just relax and unwind in the evening. Also, a short drive to Skaneatales Lake and the downtown area. We will be back!
