Beautiful cottage at Porthgwarra, a couple of minutes walk to the cove.

Bedrooms 2
Space 807 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 4 - 7 nights

About the property

2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, great views and the sweetest little beach.

Blissful relaxation is just a few clicks away!

No.3 Coastguard Cottage was extensively refurbished in 2016 to create a beautiful holiday home from where you can walk the coast, swim and snorkel from the gorgeous little cove, or just kick back and take it easy.

Upstair the house has two super comfortable bedrooms and a stylish family bathroom.

The bigger bedroom offers superb views across a short stretch of moorland which is often bright with gorse and heather, to the sea. This room can be configured as a super king or the zip and link bed can be separated to offer twin beds.

Downstairs the lounge has French doors onto the garden where there's a pic nic bench. The dining room is simply furnished and it's conveniently next to the kitchen off, which there is also a second bathroom - great for when the kids come off the beach and need a shower.

Both the lounge an dining room have woodburners making this a great house for winter stays as well as summer.

The walking form Porthgwarra is wonderful. In one direction there's Nanjizal Baech followed by Lands End and then Sennen. The cliffs on this stretch are high and stunning, and often the endangered Cornish national bird the Cough can be seen along here. In the other direction the cliff path takes you to Porth Chapel and then the Minack Theatre which is worth a visit, even if only for the views.

About Seb Blakemore

Seb has been lucky enough to have lived in West Cornwall for the past 7 years. After coming down for an extended break he fell in love with this beautiful area and never left!

Based in St Just, Seb took on an old wreck and worked to create a comfortable home. This is now also the headquarters for The Cornish Way who look after luxury cottages for a select group of owners and their lucky guests.

The aim of The Cornish Way is to provide holidays that fill you with joy - and the bespoke selection of cottages Seb offers are sure to deliver.

Why Seb Blakemore chose Saint Levan

When I saw the simple beauty of No.3 Coastguard Cottages and shared the joy of the owners in their lovely home I knew that the fit was too good with The Cornish Way to resist.

What makes this house unique

Porthgwarra is about peace, although that doesn't mean it's always quiet - when the wind blows it can get very noisy indeed!

It's about a quality of life, and of scenery, that brings a feeling of calm to your soul.

I hope you'll share my love of the cove and of the cottage.

Fantastic retreat

  • 5 of 5

Beautifully refurbished property with everything you need for a cosy and quiet Cornwall getaway. Beach just 5 minutes walk and cliff walk right on your doorstep. We cycled a lot around the peninsula making for some great day trips if you don't mind a few steep hills!

Cosy cottage in beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

This is a super little cottage on a headland at Porthgwarra, a pretty cove which punches above its size. It's windy up here, but this is a small price to pay for the stunning scenery and lovely walking right from the door. Lamorna Cove to Porthgwarra (about 7 miles) is the most gorgeous stretch of coast, even by Cornwall's standards!

Property and facilities were all as advertised. The cottage has been refitted quite recently and has comfortable beds, effective wifi and a great little Bluetooth speaker! Fresh flowers and a bottle of bubbly in the fridge were very nice welcoming touches. With log burners in lounge and dining room this would be a very cosy winter retreat as well. The customer service was excellent and I would certainly recommend this cottage and company.

Stylish cottage amid amazing landscape

  • 4 of 5

We've always been coming back again and again to Porthgwarra, as it's remote seaside beauty really is unique. And the coastguard cottage rental now offers another base for long hikes along the most stunning sections of the coastal path. The cottage is well equipped and stylish, and cosy but large enough for our family of four.

Wonderful wild and beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

What a stunning location! Perfect winter break with cosy log fires, comfy beds and everything you need in the kitchen. The house has been restored beautifully but retains character. Views to the sea from front and back. We loved getting up before breakfast and walking out to the foot path along the cliffs, in time for breakfast at sennen. And at night the stars were incredible. Highly recommend

Einfach fantastisch!

  • 5 of 5

Jederzeit wieder!
