Easy into Manhattan
Very clean, owners responsive. Lots of pristine towels. Maybe add a grab bag to showers and a non-slip base to tub. Add some shower gel! Two steep set of stairs to unit may be a problem to some guests. Very comfortable and roomy space. Great public transportation nearby, street parking.
Great location and value
Our group required three bedrooms and two bathrooms for a week long stay in NYC. Manhattan prices for such an apartment are exceptionally high so, after much investigation, we chose Dan’s place in Woodside. It worked out very well.
Although plain in finish, the apartment is a good size, with decent air conditioning and beds. It suited our party perfectly. Some instructions re garbage disposal, places in the local area, and the flat’s equipment would have been useful.
Woodside is a down to earth neighbourhood with a good buzz. The apartment is situated in a nice quiet side street and is brilliantly positioned for Woodside 61st station, which offers Line 7 subway into the key midtown stops and connections. Commuting into Manhattan could not be easier, and this is a great strength, especially for larger family groups.
We had a great week and Dan’s Apartment was a great choice for us. Highly recommended.
We stayed at this apartment over the Easter holidays. The apt is in a great location and perfect for getting the 7 train for the city. The apt itself was spotlessly clean and well furnished. We were a party of 7 and there was plenty of room for is all. The owner Dan was very accommodating and if we needed anything he told us to just ask. We had a wonderful stay here and I would highly recommend.
Highly Recommend Staying with Dan! Clean, Quiet & Easy to Subway
We were looking to stay in Manhattan but with a party of 7 we couldn't find anything affordable. We decided to stay with Dan in Queens and we were very glad we did. The place was very clean, it was quiet, Dan provided fresh towels/washcloths halfway through our stay and was available for any questions. We went into Manhattan everyday and took the 7 train in which is a short 5-6 minute walk away and will take you directly to Grand Central or Times Square. Would definitely recommend this place if you have a large party.
Loved our stay!
Dan was a great host and easy to communicate with. The property was in a perfect location to take various subway lines to get to all the NYC tourist attractions. The beds and linens were perfect and our party of 8 was very comfortable. Make sure to bring your own shampoos and bar of soap. The kitchen was well stocked and grocery stores are nearby. I loved the little neighbor hood and getting to rub shoulders with true Newyorkers. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.
A great stay in Queens!
I stayed at this apartment with 3 girlfriends for a week. The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe, yet everything you need is right there. We walked to the subway stop each day and used the 7 train in to Manhattan and out to the US Open tennis tournament. This was the perfect location for both. Dan and Grace were very responsive and accommodating when we had questions. The place was clean and fresh towels were provided halfway through our stay. I'd stay here again!
Grand central station 10-20 by subway - (depends where you go); 59th and Lexington is 10 minute; 42nd St. Time square 15 minutes; 8-minute ride exactly on commuter rail/LIRR straight shoot no stopping to Penn station Manhattan; Short walk to mass transit. I have been commuting all my life to Manhattan, trust me for the money you save, it really is not hard. Also it is mostly above ground so there is a lot to see and it goes much faster than being in a tunnel. And it's more fun to spend money on other things. Close to central park and fifth avenue and all the attractions.
