The river and historic downtown's artist galleries, shops and restaurants are a short stroll away. Singletrack on Salida's S Mountain and Methodist Mountain is a few pedal strokes away. Walk your kayak or Badfish surfer down to Salida's famous whitewater park. Monarch ski area is 25 miles up the hill and the Monarch Crest Trail, the best mountain biking in Colorado is a short drive. Hot springs, biking, kayaking, fishing, rafting, hiking, 14ers and one of Colorado's most fun downtowns are at your doorstep.

About Jason Blevins

We live in Denver but we visit Salida as often as possible. The girls love to pedal their bikes around town. That's one of the many appeals, that, for us, elevates Salida over Colorado's other mountain communities: the town is off the highway. Every other town - even some of the greatest in Colorado - are bisected by busy highways. Not Salida. One of those few towns where you can unleash your kids on their bikes and tell them to be home before dark. The same way we grew up.

What makes this apartment unique

We have a love-hate relationship with old Victorians. We live in a 1901 Denver Square in Denver's Sunnyside hood. This home is a 1901. It sounds cool, but it's an endless project. I'm pretty sure the trend in Salida from about 1910 to 1990 was to only invest in wallpaper for your home. We have upgraded the plumbing, wiring and floors. Still, the list grows with every project. Gotta love the old homes.

This property is in a fantastic location, so close to town and Salidas outdoor activities! Jason was extremely helpful and approachable. If you can stay at this property do it! The perfect home for a long or short term rental 😁

Cozy, fun rental

We rented for the entire winter. The location is fabulous - walking distance to town, easy drive to skiing. The house was small but big enough for our needs. Everything was clean, worked, and met our expectations. Access to the fenced backyard was one of the keys to keeping our dogs happy. The house has a strange layout requiring travel through the bedroom to get to the kitchen, but for couples or small families, it shouldn't be a problem. We had a couple of glitches, but Jason was extremely responsive. All in all, we recommend this place for a weekend, week, or season. We hopefully will be renting again soon.

Nice quiet clean place

Nice place, quiet. Nice views outside. Plenty of on street parking. Reasonably close to downtown. Nice book collection.

The layout was a little different so I would suggest this for families or only two people

I would have no hesitation about staying here again, hope I get the chance
