This magnificent villa is surrounded by private land with a beach at the bottom of the garden. A true beachfront villa, built in 1969 around a large courtyard where an olive tree grows, there is a huge table for al-fresco dining, an inbuilt pizza oven and large barbecue grill. The courtyard also houses a sheltered pingpong table for tournaments long into the night. The front terrace is perfect for lunch under the pergola, gazing out across the lawn and across the glittering bay toward Liscia di Vacca. Roof terraces offer breathtaking views.

About Jenny Hall
I am the agent.
Why Jenny Hall chose Punta Sardegna
This house was built in 1969 and is still owned by the family who built it. It is one of the largest and most beautiful houses built by the famous architect Michele Busiri Vici on the Costa Smeralda.
What makes this Villa unique
Access to a private beach. This is almost unheard of in the Mediterranean. Extremely beautiful architecture, gardens, and decor. A house for happiness. A large house for the whole family and all the friends too.

Our stay at Olivastri was wonderful. 11 of us stayed for a week and were looked after by an attentive gardener who arranged for a maid to come and clean each day so that beds were made and kitchen kept clean. The villa boasts wonderful views of the ocean and islands and the sunrise is unparalleled from the master bedroom and well worth staying up for ;) There are even expansive roof-terraces that are lovely to sit on in the evening.
The villa has large areas for entertaining and relaxing including a wood-fire pizza oven, large barbeque and ping-pong table and it felt very spacious so that even with so many people we did feel on top of one another. There is no pool but a short walk down the mountain takes you to a very sweet, tiny beach that catches the sun until about 5pm in August. The beach tended to get very crowded at times but all the visitors were local to the area and friendly and were invaluable for ideas for restaurants and activities of which there were a number of very good ones a short drive away.
The villa is situated in Porto Rafael where it was easy to rent a boat from the yacht club (or even swim to the yacht club from the beach for a morning coffee and pastry) and there is a lovely piazza on the shore where you can eat excellent spaghetti vongoli and stop for some sundowners and live music in the evenings.
All in all a blissful stay and will definitely return. Thank you!
The emerald cost on the north east of Sardinia is known for crystal clear waters and superb summer weather. Developed in the 1960s, Porto Rafael is an unspoilt, charming and very elegant summer resort, much loved by Europeans and Americans. The yacht club is small and much adored by boats big and small.
There's an additional cleaning fee of €300 There is a path down to the beach with steps - strengthens the legs and good for the sporty but not so good for the old or infirm.
