Wooden Top Lodge

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a fantastic 4 night stay at wooden top lodge. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, very well equipped and spotless. Everything you could possibly want is right there. Beautiful location and so peaceful. Perfect location to explore surrounding areas. Hot tub is a fabulous addition. The leisure village has great facilities even takeaway from the on site restaurant, which is a bonus too. Would thoroughly recommended a stay at wooden top lodge - BRILLIANT. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Amazing lodge

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time at the Wooden top lodge! Come back today after spending 5 days there with 2 kids. The lodge itself was very clean with everything you would expect to be a home from home, we didn’t want to come home! The food in the waterside restaurant was sublime! The hot tub was awesomely well.

If I was being critical there is no playpark on site for the little ones which suggests to me they are not very kid friendly, saying that there was a fair few kids onsite and nothing I saw would suggest otherwise. The lodge we stopped in was really close to the M6, like literally on top of the embankment. The noise was noticeable on day 1 but I kind of got used to it after that. Price for the pool was too high, £20 for 1 day for 4 of us. The pool is just a pool no slides nothing for the kids, they would barely last an hour so we didn’t use it.

Saying that we did have a great time and would seriously consider booking again.

Owner's Response: Hi Thanks for your review. I agree on the children's play park and they cost of swimming is too high! But I'm afraid that is out of our hands. Glad you enjoyed our lodge! The buzzing of the hot tub covers the slight hum of traffic at our lodge. Thanks again Wooden Top Lodge

Lovely lodge, the perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in Wooden Top Lodge. Very well presented with good sized rooms. Lovely and peaceful, perfect for those looking to get away from it all. The hot tub was great after a day out exploring the lakes. The park itself is very nice too, we ate in the pub one night and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. I’d recommend Wooden Top Lodge to anyone.
