Fantastic house in a quiet location with plenty of adventures nearby.
Spent two fabulous weeks here in August. 6 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 9. The games room and swimming pool with multicoloured LED lighting (for late night swimming) was a real winner with the kids and adults!
The house was well equipped for a large group and we had many late evening dinners outside in the extensive grounds watching the river float by.
A lovely quiet village is only a short walk away with small shop and restaurant . The family run Belvedere bar a 5 min drive away has stunning views and great local wine and beers.
The local guide of places to visit and things to do left by Craig and Sylvia is brilliant and we did almost everything they recommended.
I also have to say that the personal approach of the owners is amazing. We also got to eat the lovely fruit from the garden. Could not recommend this house more.
Dear Kevin, we are so pleased you all had a fabulous holiday in our French home and thank you very much for this great review.
We hope to see you again in the future. Kind regards Craig & Sylvia
A fantastic week in the Dordogne
We really enjoyed our week in this house. We were a group of 4 adults, 4 children and a baby, and there was loads of space both inside and outside the property.
The situation is divine with perfect views of the river as well and a good breeze. The local restaurants and shopping were conveniently a short drive away
Tom, the manager, was very relaxed and helpful, and the house information was extremely helpful in suggesting places to go.
A real gem!
Dear Rebecca, We are delighted to hear you all enjoyed your holiday in our French home. Thank you for your great review and hope you return again.
Best wishes Craig & Sylvia
Home away from home
The house is very spacious even for 7 people in our party. The house is beautifully furnished and fitting with the style of the house. Well equipped kitchen and as one other reviewer commented really good to have some essentials provided. The beds and linen are far superior than previous rentals we have experienced. Also plus to have all the pool towels. Lovely gardens and nice heated saltwater pool.
Area was good with short trip to Castillon and Gensac. Restaurants in the area good and great to get the tips in the house book. Tom also very helpful throughout the visit.
Availed of canoeing a few times which is close by in Pessac Sur Dordogne.
We are seasoned visitors in France and would highly recommend this property.
Thanks Craig and Sylvia
Dear Karen, We are happy to hear you & your family enjoyed your stay in our French home. Thank you for your great review and hope you return again.
Best wishes Craig & Sylvia
Far off the beaten track, this gem of a house is peaceful and well-appointed. We had a relaxing time and only wish the weather had cooperated better.
Dear Robert, We are glad to hear you enjoyed your short stay at our French home, sorry to hear the weather did not co-operate. Yes, our long tree lined driveway leading to the house, which is indeed far from the road, makes the large property very private while still being central to all the nearby attractions. Thank you for your review and we hope you may return again one day for a longer stay. Best wishes Craig & Sylvia Babington
Ideal for a family holiday
This property is everything it claims to be.
We were met on our arrival by Craig & Sylvia’s local agent Tom, who was most helpful and called in a couple of times during our stay just make sure we had everything we needed.
Our large family of 9 (3 couples and 3 under 5s) had plenty of room and facilities for all eventualities. When the sun shone we spent our time either on the terrace or in the heated pool. When it got cold in the evening and we lit the huge log fire and snuggled down.
The huge boiler fed the numerous radiators and provided an infinite supply of hot water. There were lots of toys for the under 5s and everything from table tennis to bicycles, boules and croquet for the young at heart.
We particularly appreciated the fact that our hosts had provided an ample supply of everyday consumables such as tea & sugar and bin bags & toilet rolls, etc., the kind of things that you’re normally are forced to buy in bulk and have to leave behind if you are only staying for a week.
In summary, most considerate hosts and agent contributed to a most enjoyable holiday
Dear Peter, Thank you for your kind words, we are glad to hear you & your family enjoyed your stay in our French home.
Best wishes to you and your clan.

Warm and family friendly
Loved the hospitality. Thank you Tom and Helen, Craig and Sylvia!
Our 5 yr old grand daughter loved the toys and games at the house.
The grounds were very beautiful and away from any congestion which we loved.
