great townhouse for our large group!

  • 5 of 5

Spacious townhouse on 4 floors: basement with a pullout sofa, bathroom, and TV. 1st floor with living room and kitchen; 2nd and 3rd floors with a bathroom and 2 bedrooms each - one bedroom with a queen bed and the other bedroom on each floor with two twin beds.

Location is what it is - close to Central Park, close to lots of restaurants and bars on Columbus, Broadway, and Amsterdam, close to Columbia and Morningside Heights, and so on. Either you want to be there, or you don't. It was a nice 30 minute walk to the theatre area. Easy to get around with Gett, Via, Lyft, and Uber.

Three heads-ups: First, the bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors use a pretty narrow staircase; not an issue for us, but keep that in mind. Second, the kitchen is not stocked with anything consumable; there's a Whole Foods nearby and a few small markets around the corner. Third, noise from the street travels into the house surprisingly well; not a big deal, but if you are expecting complete silence of a hotel, this isn't the place for you.

The property managers were easy to work with.

All in all, it was a great find for us and we'd return in a heartbeat.

Nice Townhouse with a good location

  • 5 of 5

My sisters and our husbands gathered here for my 50th birthday and our first visit to NYC. We all would highly recommend staying here! The place was just like the pictures. David was very nice and anwered any questions I had before the trip. We spent our days touring, shopping, taking in the holiday lights and Broadway shows. After dealing with crowds and traffic all day, it was nice going back to a quieter neighborhood without all the neon lights. The subway is about 2 blocks away and can get you anywhere. We each bought a metrocard with unlimited rides for a week and used the subway to get everywhere. Central Park is just over a block away, and is amazing! My best trip yet!

Lovely 4 bedroom home which worked great for 4 couples here for a family wedding.

  • 4 of 5

The main floor area of kitchen - living room space was terrific for cocktails and apps before going out for the eve. Area felt safe and close to Central Park for walks.

The bedrooms were nice size particularly the front bedrooms with fireplaces. The back bedrooms were very adequate.

The only comment we would offer to management would be to check the shower facilities as the hot water in the showers was very touchy and in fact the 2nd floor shower could not be used.

One of the sets of keys does not open the middle lock so we were careful to only lock the top bolt and door knob.

The new washing machine and dryer is super helpful although people were putting the Tide tabs in the dispenser which caused a mess to clean out - don't do that!! Those tabs go directly in the tub. Better make sure the housekeeping staff knows how to use the detergent.

Overall a beautiful property and David was attentive to dropship additional wine glasses and coffee pot. Thank you David!
