About the property

A cosy coastal two bedroom cottage with one ensuite and a separate shower room

2 Field View is one of a pair of quaint stone cottages that have been thoughtfully designed to blend in perfectly with the existing renovated Grade II listed buildings at Northfield Farm in Warkworth. It offers luxury accommodation for 4 people with a welcome pack on arrival and towels and Egyptian cotton bedding is supplied during your stay. The cottage is also dog friendly (max 2 well behaved dogs - additional fee applies). Please visit out website - for a detailed price list.

To the ground floor, there is a twin bedroom with fitted wardrobe located off the main hallway. These single beds can be converted to a super king bed upon request. There is a separate shower room/WC located across the hallway from the bedroom.

The living room / dining kitchen are also located off the main hallway. The living room offers a cosy area with TV and DVD and there is a wood burning stove for those cold winter evenings. Free Wi-Fi is also available.

The dining kitchen is equipped with a fridge freezer, electric oven, hob and extractor, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier to ensure you have a home from home environment.

From the kitchen diner there are patio doors leading out to an enclosed lawned garden and patio area which has outdoor dining facilities and a gas BBQ. The patio area looks out over arable fields towards Shortridge Hall and a glimpse of Warkworth Castle can be seen in the distance to the South and Alnmouth village can be seen to the North East.

A master bedroom is located upstairs with a king size bed, fitted wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with an over bath shower.

A high chair and travel cot are available on request if you are travelling with a baby or young toddler. Unfortunately, we are unable to supply cot bedding.

There are 2 parking spaces available close to the property.

About Andrea Bryson

I grew up in a village to the North of Newcastle and moved to Prudhoe with my husband around 14 years ago. Having worked as an accountant for a number of years, I decided to leave work and go to university where I graduated with a Biology Degree. After university, I worked with a large pharmaceutical company for a few years then made the decision to leave and start up a holiday let business in Warkworth.

Why Andrea Bryson chose Warkworth

Having spent a long weekend in Warkworth village, we fell in love with the village and surrounding area and the local people are so friendly and accommodating. We bought a second home in Warkworth, with the intention of running a holiday let business. We then decided we wanted to make the place our home. We have now settled into our new home and bought the Field View properties to run as holiday let accommodation.

What makes this cottage unique

The Northfield Farm properties were originally a farm and stone outbuildings that were renovated for use as furnished holiday lets. The properties are located 300 yards from Killiecrankie beach and have fantastic views of the sea and Alnmouth village. They are surrounded by arable land giving a changeable landscape throughout the year as well as providing a sanctuary for birds and wildlife to thrive.

Fantastic cottage in a great location

We had a four night stay in this amazing well equipped cottage. Andrea was a brilliant hostess, really helpful in every way. With just a mile walk to warkworth and maybe two to Alnmouth you feel away from it all without being cut off. It all felt like it was new and everything you could need was provided. We would definitely recommend and when we go to this area again we hope to stay again.

Superb accommodation and location.

This is possibly the best holiday home we have ever stayed in ( and we have been in a lot). Andrea has thought of everything one could possibly need for the perfect holiday but I also liked the fact that the house had space and was not cluttered. The walk across the field to the beach was lovely and the location is perfect for visiting the many beautiful towns and villages that Northumberland has to offer. I never realised that there were so many stunning, varied beaches and the restaurants just go on and on! We are already contemplating a return.

Wonderful Stay

For a relaxing and extremely comfortable time away from the world, look no further because these really well appointed cottages have most everything that you could need. They are tastefully decorated and furnished and the owners couldn't help enough! Set in beautiful Northumberland - the beach a short walk away, with Alnmouth & Warkworth within easy striking distance, these really are gems!

Northumberland has miles of unspoilt beaches along its coastline, making it a perfect place to relax and Warkworth is a perfect base for visiting the many local attractions.

Along the miles of dramatic coastline, there are a number of castles located close to beach and sit alongside quaint and pretty villages. Warkworth Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle, Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle (where the Harry Potter movies were filmed) have long and interesting histories and provide a perfect day out for both adults and children. The Alnwick Gardens are also worth a visit, where you can have a guided tour around the poison garden, walk around gardens and see the splendour of the waterfall. Alnwick town is a traditional market town where you can do a spot of shopping and there are a number of pubs, restaurants and cafes for a spot of lunch. There is also a playhouse and museum which are located only a short walk from Alnwick Castle and the town centre. There are a number of supermarkets and just outside of the town centre and leisure centre.

There are also a number of links golf courses along the coastline from Warkworth to Berwick.

Further afield, you can reach Edinburgh to the South and Newcastle and Durham to the North local Alnmouth train station at Hipsburn. If travelling by car, you can also visit the Angel of the North and the Metro Centre for some retail therapy.

Our change over days are flexible, however our preferred change over days are a follows:

● For a 7 night stay - Friday or Saturday
● For a 3 night weekend booking (Friday to Monday) - Friday
● For a 4 night mid-week booking (Monday to Friday) - Monday

These may be subject to change if a different number of days are required.

Guests can check in from 4pm on the date of arrival and are asked to vacate the premises by 10am prompt on the morning of departure. A 25% deposit is required with the completed booking form with the balance due 60 days prior to the dates of stay. Full payment is required with completed booking form for late bookings.

Further Information:

Should you have a larger family group, we have a second cottage (1 Field View) and these can be let as a 4 bedroom (8 person) property upon request as they have interconnecting doors on the ground floor. Please add this to your request if required.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
