About the property

Easy 1st floor brand new apart, single entrance, quietness and comfort

Ask the Owner for a complete and detailed brochure.

On the 1st easy floor of a perfectly restored ancient Venetian building, bordered by nice and quiet canals, right edge of Saint-Mark’s area, we propose you Amaryllis, a quality featured, quiet venetian apart. Excellent gateway to visit, just 5-7 minutes walking from both Saint-Mark’s square and Rialto’s Bridge, no Grand Canal to cross, perfectly deseved by transports (3 waterbus stops in the nearby, the closest just 1 min. walking) the area is not a massive tourism target yet and still preservs charme and sensations of times gone by. Penetrating the quiet narrow streets, the "calli", around the buinding one discovers the "Campi", characteristic small squares of Venice with their old-fashoned flavour and the small family-run restaurants which offer menus of exclusive special dishes of local tradition. It is the only and last venetian area where old manufacturers and small local art galleries still survive. Small daily markets selling fresh products of the region can be also found in the surroundings.

Finally Amaryllis proposes a comfortable accomodation in a unique area, perfect for those who look to visit the most original Venice, avoiding the unpleasant feeling of beeing in a theme park. Arsenale’s and Giardini’s proximity (most fascinating venetian spots and Biennale Expo main sites) is a plus.

Gondola tours pick up are just few steps away.

Amaryllis is a refined 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms brand new apart.

Perfect size for every kind of group, family, friends, couples, Amaryllis proposes high ceilings (3,30 mt) parquet floors in every ambience white framed windows and white wooden doors. Elegant features, large windows and quality lighting create extremely relaxing and bright ambiences, offering guests a pleasant, restful and quiet accomodation.

Due to its particular layout (dining area is separated by the living/TV) Amaryllis can accomodate up to 6 adults in three separated rooms. All beds are comfortable single and every sleeping configuration request can be easily satisfied (two single can be firmly fixed and made on a double, and reverse).

The dining area is equipped with an elegant 6 seats tempered glass table and its proximity to the (fully equipped) kitchen allow guests to easily prepare and serve every meal. Amaryllis also proposes a nice terrace facing a pictoresque original “Campiello” (small typical venetian square) with its typical archway allowing access to the water (guests can directly arrive/leave by water taxi), a comfortable single entrance (just 1 flight of stairs) with private atrium used as checkroom and coat/shoes deposit and easy access from/to every venetian terminal (direct easy access from/to airport and cruise terminal).

Ask the Owner for a complete and detailed brochure.

What else?

  • 5 of 5

Family of 5 wanted to spend its Christmas time in magical Venice. We looked for a new, easy to reach from the airport, well served by transports house. We also looked for an easy and bright first floor (we already know the steep and narrow stairs of venetian buildings) and a genuine area of Venice. What we found is exactly what we were looking for: this apart is extremely easy to reach from the airport (direct transport), 1 minute from the closer waterbus stop, 1st easy floor, single entrance (we could use the entrance to hang our coats and put down our shoes). Furthermore, due to the deliciously genuine small square in front (It also has a small terrace facing it, perfect for a drink) the apart is extremely bright and sunny. I just mention its new features and furnitures, really tasty and venetians and its complete and good working equipement (overall Wi-Fi, my sons were really happy). Perfect accomodation. What I want to talk about and underline (in my opinion even more important of the accomodation itself) is the position and the area. I personally was not aware that so genuine areas of Venice still existed. Althrough we were at walking distance from the main toruistic areas as the Saint-Mark and Rialto it seemed we stayed in another Town. When we came back from our visits we realized we were in a forgotten corner of an ancient Venice we often heard about but we believed lost now. In fact this was not true and this is why I wanted to talk about it: for me and my family it was an extremely pleasant discovery. I am not writing a tourist guide, I leave future guests to discover as we did. It was the best part of our unforgettable venetian stay. Just few suggestions: visit all the large and small churches around ex. San Francesco della Vigna just behind the apart (did u know its facade was designed by Andrea Palladio?) u will be delighted; try Osteria alla Staffa; get informed about daily open-air markets in the nearby. Asbolutely recommended to anyone looking for something unique.

Great Apartment! Great Location! Great Service!

  • 5 of 5

Mr. Tiziano picked us up at the vaporetto stop and gave us a detailed introduction to the apartment and the Castello area. The neighborhood was quiet and secure. We were walking distance to San Marco Plaza and to Rialto Bridge. There were many restaurants in the area and a grocery not far. The prices were cheaper in our neighborhood. The apartment was as described and suited our needs (2 couples) perfectly. We ate breakfast in the apartment and snacks in the apartment. The televison was not needed but worked well. The air conditioning was working well as well. Thanks Mr. Triches and Andrea for a wonderful stay.

A nice-ish place with issues

  • 3 of 5

The apartment was very clean and up to date. It is in an out of the way area...a little further away from shops, restaurants and places of tourist interest, but we managed to find our way around..

The internet was quite slow and the cell phone signal only really connected when we were standing outside.

The kitchen was small, but adequate with a couple of problems: there were plenty of pots, pans, dishes and utensils, but no spatula for turning eggs...a basic necessity. We had a difficult time trying to decipher the clothes washing machine and we aren't sure we ever used it correctly.

We never did manage to use the dishwasher. It either didn't work or we couldn't figure how to make it work. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, sheets, comforters etc. But only two bath towels, which was odd because we originally reserved for four people. It was lucky only the two of us showed up. Otherwise a nice-ish place. I think with a few improvements and attention to detail (such as more towels)...including carefully written instructions for using the appliances....and it would rate more stars.

Owner's Response: Dear Guest, thank u for your kind Review. I perfectly know guests, used (and choosed) to their country of origin, often are not prepared to understand they are in a 2000 yo Town and they cannot pretend the same standards. Ex. Internet quiet slow (Amaryllis has a good lanldline Internet and its speed depends on the time of the day u connect, this is Venice) or, and this is absolutely indicatory "no spatula for eggs"?? In addition mobile phone finely works in the whole apart but there are areas wher the signal is low (this is another peculiarity of Venice, as historical town it cannot be filled with antennas and sometimes the signal is a bit low: to move a couple of meters is usually enough). Anyway we always take what is good by every Review and we improve. Thank u Andrea Owner and Manager

Quiet location within easy access to vaporettos and walking distance to San Marco Square

  • 4 of 5

This apartment was within 5 minute walk to vaporetto stops and a 10 minute walk to San Marco Square. There were several restaurants and groceries as well as a good gelateria even closer. This is located in a nice middle class residential area so there is no unwanted noise.

The bathrooms were great with excellent water pressure and the kitchen was stocked with coffee, sugar, oil and a few other necessities like a bottle of wine and a large bottle of water.

The two air conditioners worked well and cooled down the whole apartment.

The wifi signal was consistently strong. A must when travelling with a teenager.

Special mention and a heart felt thank you to Tiziano, the agent for the owner. He met us at the vaporetto stop closest to the apartment and walked us over. This is Venice and even Google Maps keeps getting confused! Tiziano showed us around the apartment and answered some questions regarding things to do in Venice. Best of all, he kindly offered to come back when we were checking out to help us with our luggage and to walk us to the Alilaguna airport bus stop. This was much appreciated as the only criticism I have of the apartment was the one flight of stairs. They are not difficult to navigate without luggage but there is no hand rail ( there are walls containing the stairs) and that can make it somewhat difficult for seniors.

I would recommend this apartment for families or friends wanting to share accommodations.

Owner's Response: Dear Guest, thank u for your kind Review and appreciation of our accomodation and hospitality. About your Review I have just a couple of remarks: closest vaporetto stop is just 1 maybe 2 min. walking from the apart (Celestia waterbus stop, 150 m walking) allowing guests to easily move and come back to/from every part of Venice if they do not like to walk. Maybe u did not notice it? Second stairs are so easy that I would not mark them as a "criticism" even without hndrail. In any case a new handrail (it has been "erdicated" several times from the wall) has already been installed. Again thank u for your kind Review. Sincerely Andrew Owner and Manager
