Relaxing, quiet, had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the early morning visits from the turkey flock and the deer. Ron was wonderfully responsive, and worked diligently to fix our internet issues. We really enjoyed the farmhouse, grounds, and view. Definitely recommended!
The farmhouse was a great find. It sits in a very peaceful area for those restful evening but it is in a location that has something for everyone. There is historic battlefields for the history buff. There is plenty of activity at Ohio Pyle State Park for the person that has to keep moving. There is leisure activities all around. No matter what the age you can find something to do for entertainment. If I find myself back in this area I would certainly be willing to stay here again. Thanks for the opportunity to stay here.
The farmhouse and property was a great find. Much bigger than anticipated though we spent pretty much all of our time outside. Comfortable and had everything that you would need. The fire pit, some chairs and view from the top of the hill was great end to the day. Close to town and all the activities, but we were so chill on the property we never went past the creek down the main road a bit. Ron was quick with answering any questions and we will definately book again.
Five friends spent the weekend in Ohiopyle for the annual wine festival and we stayed in this house. It has a very rustic feel to it, echoing the home's history. Ron acknowledges that the home is in need of a little work here and there, as it only recently came into his hands, but we had no issues with the home itself. The five of us and two dogs were quite comfortable in the house, which has a leather sofa and satellite TV, just in case you need the comforts of the modern world! There are two fire pits - one of which sits atop the hill on the property and provides a wonderful view of the surrounding region with its rolling hills and lush green foliage.
The house is situated a very short drive to the main Ohiopyle village, so if you're planning a biking or rafting weekend, this house makes an ideal spot to rest! Just be careful - GPS has the house marked either before or after the driveway, depending on which way you approach!
Everything was good. The farmhouse is exactly as advertised, an old farmhouse close to the state park. The area was beautiful and there was a lot to do just a short drive from the house. Ron was very responsive and easy to work with.
The property is just as described in listing. A work in progress that will only get better.
