About Chad Arnouville

Chad and Jennifer Arnouville were born and raised in Louisiana and met while attending college. They were married in Fort Worth, Texas in 2005, where they moved so Jennifer could attend medical school and begin their careers.

They still reside in Fort Worth today with their two children, Claire and Isaac, and the family dog, Ollie.

The Arnouvilles purchased KMV in 2014 as a weekend retreat from a busy life in the city.

Chad Arnouville purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Chad Arnouville chose Oklahoma

We searched high and low, across several states for the perfect retreat. Oklahoma was not initially on our radar, but, after two failed attempts to purchase other vacation properties in Texas and Arkansas, we decided to expand our search.

We had always heard great things about Broken Bow and the southeastern part of Oklahoma, but had never visited the area. We viewed many cabins in the immediate area of Broken Bow Lake that were fully furnished and ready to rent, but fell in love with the seclusion and natural beauty of Bouncer Mountain and Kiamichi Mountain Villa.

We wanted seclusion in a beautiful place that we could really call our own. After purchasing, we spent the better part of six months revitalizing and furnishing the cabin to create a great place to retreat to.

What makes this cabin unique

The moment you drive up to the cabin the views will get the best of you. The cabin has a firepit with benches perched right on top of the mountain. Or, you can choose to enjoy the views from one of the 2 private decks. The front deck has a small firepit, perfect for roasting marshmallows and watching the sunset. The rear deck has an 8 person hot tub that is perfect for those late evenings and winter months. Sit and enjoy your favorite beverage underneath the covered deck and surrounding twinkle lights.

Impressive views. Great fire pit and hot tub. Very calm area on the mountain with amazing views. One negative point would be the insects but somewhat expected when your in a forest, just be prepared. Chad the owner was very professional and responsive.

Great cabin

  • 5 of 5

Stayed 3 nights in late September 2016. Very impressed with the cabin, the location and the view. I was looking for a cabin away from everything, but still with the comfort of modern conveniences. When we arrived, everything was advertised. Detailed and accurate information on the website, the app and very quick responses from Chad made the entire transaction smooth and without any surprises. The cabin was actually a bit bigger than I expected. Our group was 6 adult men on a guys only weekend trip, and we had plenty of room with 4 beds and 2 air mattresses provided. Like the other reviews state, the cabin is nicely furnished. Only disappointment was no ESPN as the cabin had only basic package on Direct TV satellite, so we did miss some sports that we would have liked to have watched. Everything else either met or exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommended to anyone.

Kiamichi Mountain Villa -- impressive

  • 5 of 5

The KMV was a really nice vacation cabin with lots of modern conveniences in a rustic setting with plenty of room for our family. We had good directions and were able to find it without any trouble. Chad was helpful and made it easy for us to use the cabin. It was good to be able to see the photos ahead of time. It was clean and everything we needed was there. It was a good base camp for us while we explored southeast Oklahoma. We went to to the Bigfoot Festival at Honobia one day, and another day we went to Heavener to the Runestone park, had lunch at the Southern Bell (a really nice restaurant in a refurbished railroad dining car), and drove the Talimena Scenic Byway. The cabin was in a good location for all of that. We took a motorcycle along with us and there was plenty of room to park the truck and trailer plus two other vehicles.

Beautiful property!

  • 4 of 5

My family and I loved this cabin in the mountains! It was the perfect size for 8 adults and two kiddos. The kids loved the giant bean bag chair, tree house and see saw....the adults did too! The cabin provided everything you needed. The layout in the back bedrooms/bathroom connection was kind of strange. It would have been the perfect cabin if there was a door added to the hallway to allow easier access without needing to go through another bedroom. That was the only family complaint. Oh...and more lights outside! It gets dark and a bit creepy at night. All in all, it was a beautiful place and we enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much for offering the third night for free! That was an added bonus.
