A bit more about the area:
This neighbourhood is fantastic and is the perfect example of London at it's best. As a born and raised Londoner I can safely say Shoreditch and Brick Lane is an area I have fallen in love with and after living here for over 10 years it just keeps getting better.
Vibrant and exciting is one way to describe the markets and surrounding streets. Be sure to visit Brick Lane, Spitalfields, Columbia Flower Market or just have fun exploring the small streets around Shoreditch and Hoxton with their abundance of coffee shops, pubs, bars, history, vintage clothing, vintage everything, restaurants of all kinds and cuisines, small shops selling curious things, fashion, shoes, furniture, the list goes on and on.
We would recommend Nude Espresso and Allpress for amazing coffee.
KinKao for great Thai food.
Hawksmoor for the best steak in town - they do a good cocktail too.
Tramshed - organic chicken which is delicious.
Wright Brothers for lobster and Oysters.
Taz Firin for a quick turkish kebab fix.
Story Deli for Artisanal pizza that is SUPER yummy.
If you would like to stay in an area with real character, wonderful vibes and experience a slice of London's history - this is the place to be.
