The Grand Salon, with its four-meter high ceilings, offers seating for 14 around an impressive open fireplace as well as formal dining for the same number. The media room includes a 60 inch flat screen TV with English Satellite TV and access to the thousands of films available on Netflix. While the conservatory area provides the ideal place to sit and read a book with views over the pool – during the winter it also houses the table tennis table. Each of the six bedrooms has an en suite bathroom and comfortable beds, some of which can be configured into single or double beds. There are two more single beds on the mezzanine above the Grand Salon that are served by a further shower room. Crisp white linen and towels for use in both the house and around the pool are provided. Travel cots and high chairs are available upon request.
The house is set in three hectares of garden, vineyard and ancient oak forest. Outside the south/south west facing pool area looks out over the valley. The swimming pool is open for use during the summer months and offers a great place to cool-off while sunbathing on the loungers around the pool. There is a large lawn (ideal for playing games), a shaded dining area for 14 people and seating areas from which to enjoy the view and sunset. There is off-road parking for 10 cars.
Set on the top of a hill, with sweeping views over rolling hills and vineyards, this is the ideal house to get away from it all. But, at the same time, it’s not too far to anywhere. The nearest town – Cadillac - is just 4 miles away. This small walled town has everything you would want – restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets and a Saturday market each week. For wine lovers, it is the ideal location from which to visit the vineyards of Saint-Émilion; Graves; Sauternes and Barsac; and Entre-Deux-Mers – all of which are within a thirty-minute drive. There are many hiking and cycling trails around the house, while it takes just 45 minutes to reach the center of Bordeaux by car.
