Four bedroom (five bed) house, 205m2 with private parking (garages and driveway). Perfect for groups/families.

Outside dining terrace, there's a top floor balcony with beautiful views and a large garden with a back slope leading to the vineyards. There are two lounges with lots of seating and a large dining room. The nightly price is for the entire house so you can enjoy an uninterrupted stay. Bed linen and bath towels are included.

*New Feature! The upstairs bathroom is being renovated and converted to a shower-room in January 2018!*

The house is five minutes walk from the old town centre and five minute from the train station. There's space for 4-5 cars and additional parking spaces in the bays outside. Enjoy the Christmas markets, beautiful Alsatian buildings and the wine! Perfect for cycling and walking.

About Craig Gillespie

Hi there,

I'm Craig. Originally from Scotland, I grew up in Stirling but also lived in Inverness. I studied Geography in London at King's College which was a lot of fun. It fed my passion for landscapes, nature and travel.

I now work in London managing an Underground railway line. While I work shifts, the time off has allowed me to travel and explore!

Why Craig Gillespie chose Turckheim

Discovering Turckheim from my favourite bottle of wine at a local Thai restaurant, my partner and I stopped off on a European road trip! We didn't look back. We came to Turckheim several times in the space of a few years, discovering that there's so much more here than just the wine.

We passed by the house and saw it was for sale, inspired by its grand entrance and position at the foot of the vineyards. Solid and spacious, all the rooms needed redecorating. We've spent the last year using our time to get the house looking good. We've also brought in an expert to provide new electrics in the kitchen.

What makes this house unique

The location is great. Backing onto the vineyards (Grand Cru Brand). Anyone who has been to Turckheim will know that parking can be difficult on the narrow cobbled streets but not at the house! There's space for plenty of cars. The garden slope (please take care as it's steep) gives an excellent view of the area. On a clear day you can see the Swiss Alps in the distance! The house is massive with big rooms and an impressive hall space.

  • One bathroom on the ground floor, one upstairs. Each has a bath and sink area. Although not renovated like much of rest of the house yet, both are clean and fully functional. There are two toilet cubicles too, one on each floor. They have their own entrances.

Each bed has a mattress protector, fitted sheet, unfitted sheet, bedspread (with an additional bedspread, throw or large bed blanket for the winter.

Schöner Kurzurlaub und tolle Vermieter

Das Haus bietet sehr viel Platz und ist sehr ansprechend.

Die Betten sind sehr komfortabel und bei der Gestaltung der Räume sind sehr viele Ideen eingeflossen, die sehr ansprechend und schön umgesetzt wurden.

Sehr toll sind die Freizeitmöglichkeiten im Haus. Hier wird ein Billardtisch und Tischtennis zur Verfügung gestellt. Neben Gesellschaftsspielen steht auch ein Fernseher mit einer beachtlichen Auswahl an DVD steht ebenfalls zur Verfügung. Die Musikanlage mit Bluetooth-Schnittstelle sollte nicht vergessen werden zu erwähnen.

Die Küche bietet alles, was benötigt wird. Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Backofen, Cerankochfeld, Kühl-, Gefrierkombination... selbst die Töpfe sind hochwertig und es macht viel Freude die Küche zu nutzen.

Die Sanitären Einrichtungen sind sehr schön, besonders das Bad im Obergeschoss. Die möbel sind sehr individuell und liebevoll hergerichtet.

Das ganze Haus ist sehr sauber und wir fühlten uns stets willkommen und gut aufgehoben.

Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und die große Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein.

Auch Turckheim ist sehr sehenswert und wir durften hier nette Bekanntschaften bei einem kühlen Bier oder einem Glas Wein machen.

Der Rundgang des Nachtwächters ist ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen.

Vielen lieben Dank nochmals an die Vermieter.

Tolles Haus nah am schönen Ort

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Haus nahe der schönen mittelalterlichen Stadt Turckheim. Sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Die Gegend ist super zum Mountainbike fahren. Betten für 2 deutsche Männer jedoch etwas zu schmal. Danke Craig für die schöne Zeit.

Belle et grande maison proche vignoble alsacien

Nous avons été charmés par la décoration de cette maison et ses nombreux équipements. Nous avons aussi apprécié le mobilier sur la terrasse extérieure, le barbecue, les livres dans la bibliothèque, la table de ping pong et le billard. Des enfants et/ ou un bébé peuvent y séjourner avec 8 adultes. Quartier calme dans une très belle région touristique. Échanges par mails rapides et plaisants avec le propriétaire qui a prévu une surprise de bienvenue.
