About this property

The Ancient Olive Tree-The Garden-Villa between sea and pine forest

The Old Olive Tree is perfect for those who want to spend their holidays in peace and quiet but not far from the sea and from the town. Three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room, kitchen but above all a large outdoor area where evenings under the great olive tree will become magical. Needless to describe the beauty of the surrounding places. Surely you will be happy to return in the evening in this magnificent home.

Marie Line

Bring your own toilet paper!
Yes we ran out of toilet paper on the first day and had to run out to buy some. Nothing provided by the owner! And we were charged extra for linens and old thin rough towels. Windows in the second bedroom do not open. We chose this location because of the terrace and it was good to spend time outside because inside, there was really no place to sit. Watch the sliding doors as you go in and out. The sliding screen door does not work well and is very frustrating to operate. This would have been okay had the owner not charged us an extra 50 euros for breaking 2 wine glasses which were broken as we tried to open the door. A little hefty we think and he refused to compromise. Although the owner says you are welcomed in English, he was not there and those he hires to come greet you do not speak English, and then he charges us for the cost of hiring others. So there were many communication problems. Did we mention that the alarm went off in the middle of the night and woke us all up not knowing what to do and who to call. And we were blamed for this. We hadn’t even touched it. So this was not a good experience and we certainly will return to Italy and go to the local cafe bar but we will not be going back to Marco’s place and suggest you consider looking elsewhere as well.

Fantastic holiday in unforgettable location
Our family holiday was a total success thanks to Marco's wonderful home! He warmly welcomed us when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know about the house, spacious garden, neighbourhood and fantastic places to eat nearby, though we abolutely loved the bbq! It was very hot when we visited, but since the apartment is located on a small hill over the sea it is very ventilated and doesn't become too opressive. The house is spacious and clean and we enjoyed every minute to the most, and the boys especially loved the pool table! A car is necessary to make the most of your stay here and to explore the beauties of the Salento region, and we were more than happy to use the two car spots reserved for Marco's guests. We loved the location, which was ideal for exploring hidden away cliff beaches with crystal clear waters, taking boat excursions (Marco offered to take us in his boat but unfortunately we had our week fully planned already), as well as visiting wonderful towns such as Otranto and Gallipoli. We had a fantastic experience and are already planning our next stay!

Excellente location
