Beachfront cottage with amazing sea views and a chance to escape and relax

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,000 sq ft
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 1 - 7 nights

About the property

3-bed seafront property on a private beach with sensational views

Pevensey Beach Retreat is a rare find indeed, with a beachfront location and a private garden leading directly onto the beach.

From your sofa, private terrace and garden you can take in the big sky, sweeping seascape and passing boats – a beguiling, intoxicating mix and a wonderful escape from urban life.

Offering 'beach-chic' throughout, with white wooden floorboards and walls, bathed in natural light for a laid back, family-friendly vibe that will appeal to all generations.

It provides spacious and flexible accommodation, sleeping up to six people so a great place for families and friends to gather and unwind.

Walking through to the open-plan lounge-diner you will be unstoppably drawn towards the views, through the floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors. Comfy sofas and lounge chairs provide the perfect spot to absorb the vista, with doors wide open and the seagulls beckoning you out, onto your private veranda and further into the garden and onto beach. And when the night draws in, there is a Smart TV to relax in front of – so you can access plenty of programmes through BBCiPlayer, YouTube and NetFlix if you have an account.

The large master bedroom has a super-kingsize bed (or two single beds if you prefer), whilst the second bedroom has a double bed. The third bedroom has two single beds (plus sea views), meaning that there are potentially five separate beds within the cottage so great accommodation for friends or family sharing (who don’t want to be too friendly).

The spotless family bathroom is also bathed in natural light and there is a separate shower room, so no need to queue in the mornings.

The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a fridge-freezer and washing machine and all the utensils you’ll need.

About Carl & Sarah Stanger

Exclusively Eastbourne was set up by husband and wife, Carl & Sarah Stanger, after they recognised the need for high quality self catering accommodation in Eastbourne and East Sussex.

Both Carl & Sarah have travelled extensively, lived abroad and enjoyed (and occasionally endured) a wide spectrum of holiday and business accommodation and this experience has shaped their understanding of what makes a great holiday home.

Carl & Sarah Stanger purchased this cottage in 2010

Why Carl & Sarah Stanger chose Pevensey Bay

The ultimate beach escape, with invigorating walks and big skies literally on your door step, with hardly a soul about (you have access to a private beach) and you are surrounded by wildlife (with a Site of Special Scientific Interest just inland).

Very relaxed atmosphere and a chance to really unwind from urban life.

You have easy access to shops, history and real life close if you really want it...

What makes this cottage unique

The chance to watch crashing waves, passing boats, soaring seagulls and let any stresses and strains just melt away?

Very nice spacious bungalow. Well stocked with everything you need.

  • 5 of 5

Everything was nice. Could maybe do with a couple of sun beds for the decking but that would be the only suggestion for improvement.

Fab position easy access .

Spacious and well equipped .

Perhaps some outside seating would be a plus .Shower cubicle small and no shower tap in bath .

La casa, el entorno, la limpieza y la equipacion estuvo excelente

  • 4 of 5

Pevensey Bay
Car: recommended

Pevensey Levels, as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, lies just inland, and is packed with birdlife and rare insects and plants, so will prove a real draw for birdwatchers and nature lovers.

The Pevensey area is fill of historic gems given that William the Conqueror landed here in 1066 and changed the course of English history, such as Pevensey and Herstmonceux Castles.

From Pevensey, it’s a very short 10 minute drive to Bexhill where you must visit the wonderful De La Warr contemporary art gallery and auditorium, set in a Grade I modernist building right on the seafront, to take in an exhibition or performance. Or just sit on the balcony and take in lunch (there is usually a good soup!).
