About Heather

We've been married for 20 years and have 2 grown children. We came to the river for a boating trip with some friends 15 years ago. We used to be lake boaters, but from that day forward we were all about the river and haven't looked back. We moved to Stillwater specifically for the boating, but have fallen in love with the restaurants and the people.

We live on our boat most of the summer and for that reason are able to make our home available most of the boating season.

Heather purchased this house in 2010

Why Heather chose Minnesota

We decided on this home after months of searching. We knew as soon as we saw it this would be the one. It was built in 1890, but underwent some remodeling and we continue to make improvements. We love this house and hope you enjoy it too.

What makes this house unique

This home is located close to downtown shopping and restaurants. It offers open views and is a great place to catch a baseball game from the front porch in the summer.

If you have any specific items you would like to request for your stay (grocery, liquor, etc.) please let us know and we will try to accommodate.

Home away from home

Great location and very comfortable. Owners met us at the house and gave a short tour. There is plenty of space in the house and they have all the dishes you might need. Stillwater is very cute, too!

Perfect for our needs

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this property as our house we are building was finishing up. Between my husband, 2 year old, and myself, we had plenty of room but felt at home. We live in Stillwater so are familiar with the surroundings by this house, but if you were to come for a stay from out of town this is a great location relative to fun activities, every day needs for food and such, easy access to highways, great local restaurants, and of course downtown. The place was very clean and the beds were fantastic! So comfy! Thank you for letting us stay.

Perfect for our weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I came with our two small children, and my in-laws for a weekend getaway and family wedding. The house was perfect for the 6 of us. Loved the fenced in back yard and fire pit. We sat outside each night. The proximity to downtown was so convenient, too! I would definitely stay again!

Very clean, convenient to downtown area, lovely home that I highly recommend and will seek out again

  • 5 of 5

Stillwater is a great small town with character & love for the river. This home is updated, clean& close to downtown. We did drive downtown but you could walk if you like the challenge of the hills. Will seek out this property next time we are in Stillwater. Very accommodating hosts. Thanks!

Great gathering place for friends

  • 5 of 5

We are a close group of college friends that get together a couple of times a year. The home and Stillwater did not disappoint. The home is immaculate and nestled in a lovely neighborhood within walking distance of downtown (20 minutes). Heather was easy to work with and responsive to all inquiries.

Wonderful home to gather with family

  • 5 of 5

Cousins from three states converged in Stillwater for family get together. The front porch was a place for all to sit and talk and watch people playing in the park across the street. The backyard patio was also a gathering spot to watch logs burning in a fire bowl. The kitchen was well equipped (for those times we didn't eat at a local establishments). The beds were wonderful (i.e. supplied good support for old bones and muscles).
